Pad comprising a soluble beverage preparation product for use in a coffee machine
Pad for use in a coffee machine for preparing at least one part of a single beverage serving which pad, for use in the coffee machine, is adapted to receive an aqueous fluid that is supplied under pressure so that the aqueous fluid is forced through the pad for obtaining the at least on part of the beverage serving that then exits the pad. The pad includes a covering defining an interior space that is filled with a beverage preparation product for preparing the beverage wherein the beverage preparation product includes a product soluble in an aqueous fluid. The covering comprises a flexible first sheet and a rigid shell, wherein the first sheet and the shell are connected to each other around their perimeter edges, and wherein the shell is equipped with at least one outlet opening. The pad is further equipped with a flexible second sheet that is positioned on a bottom of the shell, wherein the second sheet is located between the beverage preparation product and the shell and wherein the first sheet and the second sheet each form a filter that allows an aqueous fluid, including water, and the beverage to pass and that forms a barrier for the beverage preparation product. When in use an aqueous fluid under pressure is supplied to the first sheet of the pad the aqueous fluid flows through the first sheet to the beverage preparation product so that the beverage is formed. The beverage then flows through the second sheet and via the at least one outlet opening leaves the pad. The at least one outlet opening includes a flow restriction for reducing the volume of the beverage, when used in a coffee machine with a time controlled supply of aqueous fluid.
PAD WITH COVERING FILLED WITH PRODUCT TO BE EXTRACTED, ASSEMBLY OF A FIRST AND A SECOND PAD AND METHOD FOR PREPARING A SMALL OR LARGE AMOUNT OF BEVERAGE
A pad with a covering filled with product to be extracted and/or to be dissolved, wherein, in use, a fluid such as water is supplied under pressure to the pad, so that the fluid is pressed through the pad for obtaining a beverage which, thereupon, leaves the pad. The pad is provided with a spout opening for generating, with the spout opening, a jet of the beverage which leaves the pad for obtaining the fine bubble froth layer on the beverage with the aid of the beverage.
Single-serving beverage cartridge container
A cup having an endless sidewall with a lower stacking shoulder formed of a sidewall and bottom heel including a convexly outwardly curved rib disposed at a transition between the sidewall and a cup bottom having a bottom wall having a recessed dome-shaped center section providing draw ratio bottom wall thickness reduction to an annular flat bottom wall section defining a puncture region of the cup. The cup sidewall has a ribbed section disposed adjacent the heel and extends upwardly at least one-quarter the height of the cup helping to strengthen the relatively thin sidewall to prevent it from undesirably deforming during puncturing of the cup bottom during beverage making. The cup may include an upper shoulder formed of an outwardly expanded section of the sidewall adjacent the top of the cup and defining an filter attachment seat on one side and a cup carrier on the opposite side.
BEVERAGE SYSTEM
The present invention is directed to a device (19) for adapting different types of ingredient capsules (2A, 2B) in a food or beverage preparation machine (1). Said device (19) is constructed to be removably attached to an existing capsule holder (7) of said machine (1).
Capsule holder or an adapter for adapting a capsule in a capsule holder in a beverage preparation machine
The present invention relates to a capsule holder (10) or an adapting device (17) for adapting a capsule (1) into a capsule holder (10), the capsule (1) being designed for delivering a food product by injection of a fluid under pressure into the capsule, said capsule comprising a chamber (3) defined by capsule side walls (4), a flexible bottom wall (5) comprising at least one dispensing opening (9) and a top wall (6), said chamber containing at least one ingredient to be dissolved and/or extracted by said injection fluid, wherein said capsule holder (10) or adapting device (17) comprises a pressure retaining element (11) disposed in the vicinity of the bottom wall (5), which comprises at least one protrusion (12) in correspondence to said at least one dispensing opening (9) so that said protrusion (12) is disposed into the corresponding opening (9) and restricts its diameter at the time injection fluid inside the capsule chamber moves said membrane towards said pressure retaining means.
CAPSULE-HOLDER DEVICE FOR BEVERAGE PREPARATION MACHINES
A capsule-holder device for a beverage preparation machine comprises an axially hollow annular supporting body having a central axis, with a peripheral wall provided with a lateral attachment, for fixing a handle, and coupling means, for coupling with a hot-water dispensing unit of the beverage preparation machine. Within the supporting body a receiving assembly is mounted. having a respective central axis substantially coinciding with the central axis of the supporting body. The receiving assembly includes a container body having a respective peripheral wall and a bottom which define a chamber able lo receive a capsule. At the bottom of the container body a lower perforation arrangement is provided, able to cause perforation of an outlet wall of a capsule contained in the chamber. The lower perforation arrangement comprises a plurality of lips which are borne by a disk-shaped support that is mounted in an angularly rotatable way inside the chamber, for rotating about the central axis of the receiving assembly.
Beverage brewing device for brewing and removal of different sized flavored beverage packets (POD).
A brewing system for brewing a single flavored beverage of different varieties is disclosed which comprises a holder for receiving a flavored beverage packet (pod) of different sizes, said holder being a technically cantilevered receptacle to hold the flavored beverage packet (pod) beverage in a brewing position, a hinged cover which is secured by a latch, and introduces water in the sealed and enclosed brewing area to produce a flavored beverage drink that flows through the beverage packet and into a receptacle for consumption.
The pad is provided with a spout opening for generating, with the spout opening, a jet of the beverage which leaves the pad for obtaining the fine bubble froth layer on the beverage wit the aid of the beverage.

Reusable brewing cartridge
A reusable brewing cartridge includes a lid having a permanent injection nozzle passage and includes an extraction nozzle pocket permanently open at the top of the cartridge allowing use in a coffee maker configured to puncture a single use disposable cartridge lid with both the injection and extraction nozzles. The cartridge thus avoids puncturing contact with the extraction needle. The reusable brewing cartridge includes at least one passage in a cartridge base allowing brewed drink to escape the reusable brewing cartridge into a coffee container.
