Premises monitoring system
This invention relates generally to computer systems, and more specifically, to a premise monitoring system. In one embodiment, the invention includes operations of receiving one or more signals containing a device identifier and a device condition from one or more remote alarm monitoring systems; retrieving enhanced information based on the device identifier and/or the device condition; determining one or more communication methods and/or communication destinations based on the device identifier and/or the device condition; and dispatching the enhanced information to the one or more communication destinations using the one or more communication methods.
Entertainment server and associated social networking services
Certain exemplary embodiments relate to entertainment systems that interact with users so as to provide for social networking and/or other services. An entertainment system is configured to provide jukebox-related and entertainment system mediated services that are accessible from within and from the outside of the location, coordinating social networking services among and between patrons within and outside of the location and also providing for advertisement opportunities. An entertainment system within a location may serve as and/or be connected to a jukebox. The entertainment system within the location may be connected to one or more client devices, one or more displays, one or more bar-top or hand-held gaming devices, etc., in certain exemplary embodiments. Jukebox-related and entertainment system mediated services may provide mechanisms for enhancing patrons' experiences, creating a sense of ownership and/or belongingness to a connected community of entertainment system users.
Augmented reality presentations
Technology is generally disclosed for augmented-reality presentations. In some embodiments, the technology can receive an indication of a user's sensitivity to an aspect of a presentation, receive general content relating to the presentations, receive overlay content relating to the presentation, combine the received general content and the received overlay content to create the presentation, and render the presentation. The overlay content may respond to the user's sensitivity.
Multi-screen media delivery systems and methods
A system is proposed for delivering video content to display devices using a cloud computing model. A plurality of independent physical computer systems cooperate to implement a virtual computer system (“cloud”) which receives media content from sources of media content, and delivers the media content selectively to video display devices. For each of a plurality of users of the virtual computer system, there is a corresponding process (“cloudclone”) running on the virtual computer system which coordinates the delivery of the content to one or more of the video display devices which are associated with the corresponding user. The cloudclone includes respective components for managing the transfer of media content to each of the video display devices associated with the user. This makes possible a straightforward way of migrating video sessions between the devices associated with the user, by changing the corresponding cloudclone. The cloud can also access pre-determined social relationships between the users, and use the actions of a first of the users, to control content delivered to the other user(s) with which the first user has a social relationship.
ENTERTAINMENT SERVER AND ASSOCIATED SOCIAL NETWORKING SERVICES
Certain exemplary embodiments relate to entertainment systems that interact with users so as to provide for social networking and/or other services. In certain exemplary embodiments, an entertainment system is configured to provide jukebox-related and entertainment system mediated services that are accessible from within and from the outside of the location, coordinating social networking services among and between patrons within and outside of the location and also providing for advertisement opportunities. In certain exemplary embodiments, the entertainment system within a location may serve as and/or be connected to a jukebox. The entertainment system within the location may be connected to one or more client devices, one or more displays, one or more bar-top or hand-held gaming devices, etc., in certain exemplary embodiments. The jukebox-related and entertainment system mediated services may provide mechanisms for enhancing patrons' experiences, creating a sense of ownership and/or belongingness to a connected community of entertainment system users.
Controlling Networked Media Capture Devices
Media players and other electronic devices may operate under a first protocol to control media capture devices that operate with a second protocol which may not be configurable to communicate with the first protocol. For example, a network device may store and/or render content within a Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) network and/or assist in content delivery for a DLNA device on a network. A media capture device may use Internet Protocol.
Intelligent Remote Control
A content access device and system may allow portable remote devices to be paired with a variety of different devices, allowing remote control through a network connection. Content access devices may expose application program interfaces, allowing incoming network traffic to control operation of the device much in the same way that a local infrared remote would. Routing content commands through an external application server may also yield other benefits, such as allowing more customized selection of information and advertising content to users based on their viewing history.
Methods, systems, and media for transferring playback of media content
Methods, systems, and media for transferring playback of media content are provided. In some implementations, the method comprises: receiving a request to initiate a mirroring session in which a tabbed window including a page having a plurality of media content items is rendered on a computing device and transmitted as a video stream to a display device that is in communication with the computing device over a local area network; encoding the video stream including the tabbed window and the plurality of media content items; transmitting the encoded video stream to the display device via the local area network; determining that a user of the tabbed window on the display device intends to view a media content item from the plurality of media content items on the page; inhibiting presentation of the media content item on the computing device; causing the media content item to be decoded and presented on the display device; detecting an event associated with presentation of the media content item on the display device; and, in response to detecting the event associated with presentation of the media content item on the display device, causing the mirroring session to resume.
IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
A display device including a display; a first external interface configured to be connected to a first external device; a second external interface configured to be connected to a second external device; and a controller configured to display, on the display, an external source list menu including first connection port information for identifying the first external interface and second connection port information for identifying the second external interface, after detecting a first connection signal indicating the first external device is connected to the first external interface, display, on the external source list menu, a first moving image from the connected first external device after receiving a first command signal from a remote controller, wherein the first moving image is displayed on a first position corresponding to the first connection port information identifying the first external interface in the external source list menu, and after detecting a second connection signal indicating the second external device is connected to the second external interface, display, on the external source list menu, a second moving image from the connected second external device after receiving a second command signal from the remote controller, wherein the second moving image is displayed on a second position corresponding to the second connection port information identifying the second external interface in the external source list menu.
Image display device and method for controlling the same
A display device includes a display; a first external interface configured to be connected to a first external device; a second external interface configured to be connected to a second external device; and a controller configured to display, on the display, an external source list menu including first connection port information for identifying the first external interface and second connection port information for identifying the second external interface and detect a connection signal indicating whether any one of the first external device or the second external device is connected to any one of the first external interface or the second external interface, wherein the connection signal includes at least one of a first connection signal indicating the first external device is connected to the first external interface or a second connection signal indicating the second external device is connected to the second external interface.
