Virtual set-top box
A virtual set-top box (vSTB) for executing a middleware component, designed originally for use with the physical STB, including emulating hardware capabilities of the physical STB to process IPTV content received over a connection for presenting the IPTV content on a display of the electronic device.
METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND MEDIA FOR TRANSFERRING PLAYBACK OF MEDIA CONTENT
Methods, systems, and media for transferring playback of media content are provided. In some implementations, the method comprises: receiving a request to initiate a mirroring session in which a tabbed window including a page having a plurality of media content items is rendered on a computing device and transmitted as a video stream to a display device that is in communication with the computing device over a local area network; encoding the video stream including the tabbed window and the plurality of media content items; transmitting the encoded video stream to the display device via the local area network; determining that a user of the tabbed window on the display device intends to view a media content item from the plurality of media content items on the page; inhibiting presentation of the media content item on the computing device; causing the media content item to be decoded and presented on the display device; detecting an event associated with presentation of the media content item on the display device; and, in response to detecting the event associated with presentation of the media content item on the display device, causing the mirroring session to resume.
METHOD FOR INTERACTION BETWEEN DEVICES AND MEDIUM
The present disclosure relates to a method for interaction between devices. The method includes: receiving a first target size from a second device in a case that a virtual display of the first device is displayed in a screen-projection window on a display screen of a second device, in which, a first content is displayed on the virtual display of the first device, and a size of the screen-projection window is a second target size; resizing the virtual display based on the first target size; and displaying the resized virtual display in the screen-projection window.
Targeted advertising based on user product information
Methods and systems of targeting advertising are presented. In an example method, a media content device of a user accesses user product information originating from a user product and describing at least one characteristic of the user product. At least one advertisement is selected from a plurality of available advertisements based on the user product information. The selected advertisement is forwarded from the media content device for presentation to the user.
Controlling networked media capture devices
Disclosed embodiments allow media players and other electronic devices that operate under a first protocol to control the media capture devices that operate with a second protocol which may not be configurable to communicate with the first protocol. In one embodiment of the disclosure, a network device may store and/or render content within a Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) network and/or assist in content delivery for a DLNA device on a network. In another embodiment of the disclosure, a media capture device uses the Internet Protocol.
METHODS AND APPARATUS TO PERFORM MEDIA DEVICE ASSET QUALIFICATION
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to perform media device asset qualification are disclosed. An example apparatus includes at least one memory, and at least one processor to execute instructions to at least identify a first set of candidate media device assets for disqualification, the candidate media device assets including A) a signature and B) a media identifier that identifies media, generate a hash table using a second set of the candidate media device assets, determine one or more counts of matches between C) a first signature and a first media identifier of a first candidate media device asset of the second set and D) respective signatures and media identifiers of multiple ones of the second set using the hash table, the multiple ones of the second set not including the first candidate media device asset, and load the first signature into a reference database as a reference signature.

CONTENT RECOGNITION SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ENCRYPTED DATA STRUCTURES
A system for maximizing storage of encrypted content in a storage system includes one or more processors; and a storage medium storing instructions. When executed, the instructions may configure the one or more processors to: receive, from a first client device, a first data structure encrypted commutatively with a first key and a common key, the receiving system lacking access to the common key; receive the first key and a first segment identifier; receive, from a second client device, a second data structure encrypted commutatively with a second key and the common key; receive a second segment identifier; using the first key, partially decrypt the first data structure; storing the partially decrypted first data structure; and selectively storing a copy of the second data structure based on whether content of the first data structure corresponds to content of the second data structure.
Method and apparatus for channel switching in interactive smartboard
A method and an apparatus for channel switching in an interactive smartboard including receiving a channel switching request to switch from a first channel to a second channel; detecting a state of a system associated with the second channel; and when the state of the system associated with the second channel is a sleep state or a dormant state, according to the channel switching request, switching a touch receiving service to the system associated with the second channel and switching a current display from the first channel to the second channel, and waking up the system associated with the second channel.
Methods and apparatus to perform media device asset qualification
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to perform media device asset qualification are disclosed. An example apparatus includes an asset quality evaluator to identify candidate media device assets obtained from a media device that identify media. The example apparatus further includes an asset grader to grade the candidate media device assets based on calculating a valid hash count corresponding to a number of matches between a first one of the candidate media device assets compared to a second one of the candidate media device assets using a hash table, and identify the first one of the candidate media device assets as a reference media device asset, the first one having a higher grade compared to grades of other candidate media device assets. The example apparatus further includes an asset loader to generate a validation report including the identification of the reference media device asset.
