Methods and apparatus to perform media device asset qualification

Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to perform media device asset qualification are disclosed. An example apparatus includes an asset quality evaluator to identify candidate media device assets obtained from a media device that identify media. The example apparatus further includes an asset grader to grade the candidate media device assets based on calculating a valid hash count corresponding to a number of matches between a first one of the candidate media device assets compared to a second one of the candidate media device assets using a hash table, and identify the first one of the candidate media device assets as a reference media device asset, the first one having a higher grade compared to grades of other candidate media device assets. The example apparatus further includes an asset loader to generate a validation report including the identification of the reference media device asset.

THREE-DIMENSIONAL TELEPRESENCE SYSTEM

An example telepresence terminal includes a lenticular display, an image sensor, an infrared emitter, and an infrared depth sensor. The terminal may determine image data using visible light emitted by the infrared emitter and captured by the image sensor and determine depth data using infrared light captured by the infrared depth sensor. The terminal may also communicate the depth data and the image data to a remote telepresence terminal and receive remote image data and remote depth data. The terminal may also generate a first display image using the lenticular display based on the remote image data that is viewable from a first viewing location and generate a second display image using the lenticular display based on the remote image data and the remote depth data that is viewable from a second viewing location.

Software-application initiation

Disclosed are methods and apparatus for triggering (i.e., initiating, launching, or running) a software application (e.g., an interactive game application) or other computer program or application on a user device (e.g., a computer, etc.) based on multimedia content being provided to (e.g., displayed on) a different user device (e.g., a different computer, a television, etc.). The methods may comprise displaying, using a first device, multimedia content. A multimedia-analysis process may then be performed to determine an attribute of the multimedia content being displayed. These attributes may be used to acquire (e.g., select or produce) a software application comprising one or more elements that relate to the multimedia content. The software application may then be launched (i.e., triggered, initiated, or run) on a second device, the second device being different from the first device.

METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND MEDIA FOR TRANSFERRING PLAYBACK OF MEDIA CONTENT

Methods, systems, and media for transferring playback of media content are provided. In some implementations, the method comprises: receiving a request to initiate a mirroring session in which a tabbed window including a page having a plurality of media content items is rendered on a computing device and transmitted as a video stream to a display device that is in communication with the computing device over a local area network; encoding the video stream including the tabbed window and the plurality of media content items; transmitting the encoded video stream to the display device via the local area network; determining that a user of the tabbed window on the display device intends to view a media content item from the plurality of media content items on the page; inhibiting presentation of the media content item on the computing device; causing the media content item to be decoded and presented on the display device; detecting an event associated with presentation of the media content item on the display device; and, in response to detecting the event associated with presentation of the media content item on the display device, causing the mirroring session to resume.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CHANNEL SWITCHING IN INTERACTIVE SMARTBOARD

The present invention discloses a method and an apparatus for channel switching in an interactive smartboard. The method includes: receiving a channel switching request to switch from a first channel to a second channel; detecting a state of a system associated with the second channel; and when the state of the system associated with the second channel is a sleep state or a dormant state, according to the channel switching request, switching a touch receiving service to the system associated with the second channel and switching a current display from the first channel to the second channel, and waking up the system associated with the second channel. Namely, after acquiring the channel switch request, the channel switching is performed, that is, the touch receiving service switching is switched to the system associated with the second channel and the current display is switched from the first channel to the second channel, and the system associated with the second channel in the sleep state or the dormant state is waked up, so that the system associated with the second channel can be used normally while the channel is switched to the second channel, without realizing the wake-up of the system associated with the second channel through a user's operation after the channel switching, thereby simplifying the operation process and accelerating the switching process, and as a result, improving the efficiency of the channel switching.

Methods, systems, and media for managing mirroring sessions of media content
