Premises Monitoring System
This invention relates generally to computer systems, and more specifically, to a premise monitoring system. In one embodiment, the invention includes operations of receiving one or more signals containing a device identifier and a device condition from one or more remote alarm monitoring systems; retrieving enhanced information based on the device identifier and/or the device condition; determining one or more communication methods and/or communication destinations based on the device identifier and/or the device condition; and dispatching the enhanced information to the one or more communication destinations using the one or more communication methods.
ENTERTAINMENT SERVER AND ASSOCIATED SOCIAL NETWORKING SERVICES
Certain exemplary embodiments relate to entertainment systems that interact with users so as to provide for social networking and/or other services. In certain exemplary embodiments, an entertainment system is configured to provide jukebox-related and entertainment system mediated services that are accessible from within and from the outside of the location, coordinating social networking services among and between patrons within and outside of the location and also providing for advertisement opportunities. In certain exemplary embodiments, the entertainment system within a location may serve as and/or be connected to a jukebox. The entertainment system within the location may be connected to one or more client devices, one or more displays, one or more bar-top or hand-held gaming devices, etc., in certain exemplary embodiments. The jukebox-related and entertainment system mediated services may provide mechanisms for enhancing patrons' experiences, creating a sense of ownership and/or belongingness to a connected community of entertainment system users.
Three-dimensional telepresence system
An example telepresence terminal includes a lenticular display, an image sensor, an infrared emitter, and an infrared depth sensor. The terminal may determine image data using visible light emitted by the infrared emitter and captured by the image sensor and determine depth data using infrared light captured by the infrared depth sensor. The terminal may also communicate the depth data and the image data to a remote telepresence terminal and receive remote image data and remote depth data. The terminal may also generate a first display image using the lenticular display based on the remote image data that is viewable from a first viewing location and generate a second display image using the lenticular display based on the remote image data and the remote depth data that is viewable from a second viewing location.
Intelligent remote control
Systems, methods, and apparatuses related to an intelligent remote control device are described. A remote control device may control a device located at a premises via a remote computing device. Various communications may facilitate the control.
Methods, systems, and media for transferring playback of media content
Methods, systems, and media for transferring playback of media content are provided. In some implementations, the method comprises: receiving a request to initiate a mirroring session in which a tabbed window including a page having a plurality of media content items is rendered on a computing device and transmitted as a video stream to a display device that is in communication with the computing device over a local area network; encoding the video stream including the tabbed window and the plurality of media content items; transmitting the encoded video stream to the display device via the local area network; determining that a user of the tabbed window on the display device intends to view a media content item from the plurality of media content items on the page; inhibiting presentation of the media content item on the computing device; causing the media content item to be decoded and presented on the display device; detecting an event associated with presentation of the media content item on the display device; and, in response to detecting the event associated with presentation of the media content item on the display device, causing the mirroring session to resume.
Dynamic resolution determination
A method, apparatus, and article of manufacture provide the ability to dynamically determine and utilize an image resolution. An audio/video clip comprising two or more frames (with each frame comprising a source image having a source image resolution) is obtained. Proxy image(s) associated with each source image are computed. Each proxy image is a scaled version of the source image wherein the source image resolution has been scaled based on a proxy scale to obtain a proxy image resolution. A media player determines display capabilities for a display device and processes the clip. The player then dynamically determines the proxy scale for each frame in the clip, performs image processing for/on a respective proxy image, and displays the respective proxy image.
IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
A display device includes a display; a first external interface configured to be connected to a first external device; a second external interface configured to be connected to a second external device; and a controller. The controller is configured to detect a connection signal from the first external device or the second external device connected to one of the first external interface and the second external interface, receive a first image content from the first external device connected to the display device via the first external interface if the connection signal of the first external device is detected, display, on an external source list menu for selecting the first external device or the second external device, a first moving image obtained after receiving a first capture start signal until receiving a second capture end signal from a remote controller.
Display system, display apparatus, method of controlling display apparatus, and program
A display system includes a display apparatus, a first terminal apparatus which transmits first image data, and a second terminal apparatus which transmits second image data. The display apparatus includes a communication unit that receives the first image data and the second image data, a display unit that displays a first image which is based on the first image data, and a second image which is based on the second image data, and a display control unit that changes at least one of an area for displaying the first image and an area for displaying the second image. The first terminal apparatus transmits the first image data to the display apparatus with a data amount that is determined according to the changed area for displaying the first image.
Concurrent channels of communication
The present disclosure provides systems, methods, and machine-readable media for concurrent communication. One method includes displaying an interactive application on a first device of a user during a break in an entertainment segment displayed on a second device, sending a request for interaction from the user through the interactive application, pausing the interactive application when the break in the entertainment segment is over, and notifying the user when an additional break begins so the user can commence interacting with the interactive application.
