Cross-Device Content Projection Method and Electronic Device
A content projection method and device related to the field of screen projection technologies are provided. The method includes: The third electronic device plays second content; an NFC chip of the third electronic device touches or approaches an NFC chip of the first electronic device; the third electronic device receives connection status information sent by the first electronic device; and the third electronic device projects the second content to the second electronic device based on the connection status information.
Method for sharing and searching playlists
A system that provides for the accessing and playing of media files having differing associated rights such as non-DRM media files, purchased and downloaded media files, subscription download files such as tethered downloads, and subscription streamed DRM files. The system also provides a method and user interface for sharing a media collection among computing devices in communication via a network. The system allows access and playback, from each computing device on a network, of all media files in a media collection, regardless of their associated rights.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REDIRECTING PORTIONS OF CONTENT TO ALTERNATE COMMUNICATION CHANNELS
Systems and methods for displaying primary content without any overlaid secondary content, and instead transmitting the secondary content to the viewer as a message through another communication channel. For example, a news banner is removed from display on a viewer’s television, and the text of the news banner is encapsulated in a message sent to the viewer’s primary social media account. In this manner, the viewer may watch the primary content uninterrupted by the secondary content, and is thus presented with fewer distractions and a potentially more enjoyable viewing experience.
BULLET SCREEN PLAY METHOD, RELATED DEVICE, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
Example bullet screen play methods and apparatus are described. One example bullet screen play method includes receiving a bullet screen enabling instruction for a target video, where the bullet screen enabling instruction instructs to play a bullet screen in a virtual reality (VR) bullet screen manner. An annular transparent bullet screen layer is drawn in a preset orientation of a video layer of the target video in response to the bullet screen enabling instruction, where a first height of the video layer is less than a second height of the bullet screen layer. Bullet screen information of a real-time bullet screen of the target video is obtained. Three-dimensional coordinates of the real-time bullet screen on the bullet screen layer are calculated based on the bullet screen information. The real-time bullet screen is refreshed and played on the bullet screen layer based on the three-dimensional coordinates.
FILAMENT FOR PRODUCING TWO-WAY LIVE COMMUNICATION USING AUDIO, VIDEO, PICTURE AND TEXT MESSAGES FROM MOBILE DEVICES TO SMART/STANDARD TELEVISIONS
A filament for producing a two-way live communication system using audio, video, picture, and text messages from a patient's television in hospitable environments to a distant love one's mobile device. The present invention includes software that enables patients and remote loved ones and caregivers to remain in consistent contact especially during crisis situations with the downloading of the application on both the patient's television and mobile devices. Upon downloading this software each member is prompted to enter in their required information in order to connect with the individual they seek. The software will also be used by doctors to communicate with a patient's primary care family member, that patient's pending treatments and goals. The software is built to expand communication channel on a tool which over 95% of individuals have access to and watch daily.
Automated programming of a remote control
An electronic device that obtains a set of remote-control commands is described. During operation, the electronic device may receive an image associated with a second electronic device, where a brand and a model of the second electronic device are initially unknown to the electronic device. Then, the electronic device may perform image analysis on the image to determine at least the brand of the second electronic device. Moreover, the electronic device may access, based at least in part on the determined brand, the set of remote-control commands that are associated with the second electronic device. Next, the electronic device may store the set of remote-control commands in memory. Subsequently, when the electronic device receives user-interface activity information associated with a portable electronic device that specifies selection of the second electronic device, the electronic device may provide the set of remote-control commands to the second electronic device.
Reflective video display apparatus for interactive training and demonstration and methods of using same
A smart mirror can show live or recorded streaming video of an instructor performing a workout in a package that is attractive and unobtrusive enough to hang in a living room. The smart mirror includes a mirror surface with a fully reflecting section and a partially reflecting section. A display behind the partially reflecting section shows the video when the smart mirror is on and is almost invisible when the smart mirror is off. The smart mirror also has a speaker, a microphone, and a camera to enable a user to view the video content and interact with the instructor. The smart mirror may connect to the user's smart phone, a peripheral device (e.g., a Bluetooth speaker) to augment user experience, a biometric sensor to provide biometric data to assess user performance, and/or a network router to connect the smart mirror to a content provider, an instructor, and/or other users.
Sending messages from smart speakers and smart displays via smartphones
Techniques are described herein for using a smart device such as a standalone assistant-centric interactive speaker and/or a standalone assistant-centric interactive display with speaker(s) to send a message using a messaging application on a client device such as a smartphone. A method includes: receiving, by a first device, a request from a first user to send a message to a second user; determining that a messaging application corresponding to the request is unavailable on the first device; and in response to determining that the messaging application corresponding to the request is unavailable on the first device: selecting a second device on which the messaging application corresponding to the request is available; and sending, to the second device, a command that causes the second device to send the message from the first user to the second user using the messaging application on the second device.
Method and apparatus for providing interactive applications with media content delivery services
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method of apportioning, by a processing system including a processor, a viewable area of a display screen into a main area and an application area; downloading, by the processing system, media content; displaying, by the processing system, the media content within the main area of the display screen; extracting, by the processing system, metadata from the media content; and providing, by the processing system, the metadata to an application, wherein the application: downloads information associated with the metadata provided in the media content, applies a bitrate limit to the downloading of the information to prevent interference with the downloading of the media content, generates display content based on the information, and sends the display content for displaying within the application area of the display screen concurrently with the media content being displayed in the main area of the display screen. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Screen Casting Method and Terminal
A screen casting method is applied to a source device having a display and a speaker. The screen casting method includes receiving first data and decoding the first data, displaying the decoded first data through the display and/or outputting the decoded first data through the speaker, receiving text information from the server and parsing the text information, and displaying the parsed text information through the display, where the text information is associated with the first data. A first operation of performing screen casting to a target device is detected, and in response to the first operation, sending a download address of the first data and a download address of the text information to the target device.
