The description relates to cooperatively controlling devices based upon their location and pose. One example can receive first sensor data associated with a first device and second sensor data associated with a second device. This example can analyze the first sensor data and the second sensor data to determine relative locations and poses of the first device relative to the second device and can supply the locations and poses to enable content to be collectively presented across the devices based upon the relative locations and poses.

Some aspects include a method for synchronizing at least two devices, including: connecting the at least two devices using an application executed on each of the at least two devices, wherein: a same media is executed in synchronization by the at least two devices using the application; and an input received by the application executed on a first device of the at least two devices actuates a same response on the at least two devices.

An electronic apparatus which registers a device to a server by using a voice, and a method therefor are provided. The electronic apparatus includes a communication circuit, a microphone, a memory for storing computer executable instructions, and at least one processor configured to execute the computer executable instructions to acquire, from a voice received through the microphone, information on an external device which a user wishes to register, based on an external device corresponding to the acquired information being searched through the communication circuit, control the communication circuit to transmit information on an access point to the external device to enable the external device to communicate with a server, and control the communication circuit to transmit a registration request with respect to the external device to the server.

The present disclosure relates to an image display apparatus and an operating method thereof. The image display apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a display configured to display an image; an interface unit configured to have at least one communication module, and to transmit and receive a signal including data; and a controller, wherein the controller, through the interface unit, transmits a request signal including data for a specific communication channel to the outside, checks whether a response signal to the request signal is received in the specific communication channel, and when the response signal is received in the specific communication channel, performs a communication connection of Wi-Fi Direct method with an external device that transmitted the response signal, based on the response signal. According to an embodiment, a source device for providing a screen sharing service with a sync device may include a display, a communication circuit configured to perform communication with the sync device, and a processor configured to receive a connection request for the screen sharing service from the sink device through the communication circuit, execute a home application for providing a home screen of the sink device according to the received connection request, display an execution screen of the home application on the display according to execution of the home application, and transmit image data corresponding to the displayed execution screen of the home application to the sink device through the communication circuit.

The media controller includes the memory and is programmed to transmit first media content as desired by one or more first vehicle occupants positioned in a first zone seating area and to transmit second media content as desired one or more second vehicle occupants positioned in a second zone seating area. The media controller is further programmed to receive an indication from the one or more first vehicle occupants to transmit the second media content in the first zone seating area and to transmit the second media content for monitoring by the one or more first vehicle occupants in the first zone seating area based on the indication.

A content viewing method uses a viewing system including a content distribution server distributing contents, a mobile information terminal, and a viewing device reproducing a content. The mobile information terminal transmits user identification information and a user password to the content distribution server. The content distribution server authenticates the mobile information terminal based on the user identification information and the user password. The mobile information terminal transmits an account issue request requesting an account for reproducing a desired content to the content distribution server. The content distribution server issues the account based on the account issue request and transmits the account to the mobile information terminal. The mobile information terminal stores the account. The mobile information terminal transmits the account by short-range wireless communication. The viewing device stores the account received by short-range wireless communication. The viewing device reproduces the desired content using the stored account.

A facility for selectively suppressing notifications on a portable device is described. The facility accesses data characterizing the condition of the portable device. The facility infers from the accessed data that that the portable device is being carried by a person who is viewing content being played by a media player device. In response to this inference, the facility determines whether notifications should be suppressed on the portable device. If the facility determines that notifications should be suppressed on the portable device, it causes a wireless communication to be transmitted to the portable device instructing the portable device to suppress notifications.
