A digital signage system allows a person to use the person's own mobile device as a voice input device to the digital signage system and also can leverage the person's mobile device in other ways such as by accepting other inputs from the mobile device, providing various outputs to the mobile device, or utilizing communication capabilities of the mobile device.

An implementation solution is: obtaining a video playing address list from a video management server, where the video playing address list includes playing links of real-time video streams of a plurality of monitoring cameras; obtaining the real-time video streams of the plurality of monitoring cameras from the video management server according to the video playing address list so as to be played on a screen; obtaining a historical video stream of at least one of the monitoring cameras from a video storage server so as to be played on the screen in response to detecting fault information which indicates that the real-time video stream of the at least one of the monitoring cameras cannot be played; and recording the fault information, where the fault information includes the playing link of the real-time video stream of the at least one of the monitoring cameras.

A system comprises a computer device, such as a host apparatus, a second device, such as a digital signage player, which is connectable to the computer device, and an external device connectable to the second device. The computer device sends a command to the second device. The command causes the second device to send a message to the external device. In particular, embodiments of the present invention relate to dynamic scheduling of content presentation in a cinema by collecting user preferences of a plurality of users, wherein the user preference specifies at least a movie that a user desires to watch, a time for watching the movie, a cinema for watching the movie, and a number of people watching the movie; generating, based on the collected user preferences, a respective dynamic schedule for at least one cinema of a plurality of cinemas according to one of a plurality of scheduling schemes; and transmitting the generated respective dynamic schedule to at least one second electronic apparatus corresponding to the at least one cinema.

A display manager can control a display environment including a plurality of display regions and can display content items in the display regions. The display manager can identify an event record placed via a client device located in a display zone corresponding to a display region of the display environment. The event record can correspond to an event associated with at least one of the respective content items. The display manager can determine to change a first content item displayed within the display region or a value of a parameter of the display region. The display manager can modify the display region by replacing the first content item with a second content item corresponding to the event associated with the event record or by adjusting the parameter of the display region.

An output control device acquires from a control device moving conditions of an escalator such as the moving speed, moving distance, and moving direction. Then, the output control device divides a content based on the acquired moving conditions and the number of displays to create divided data. A system is disclosed for providing a platform for optimizing overlay location over programming content that is distributed over a channel by a content provider and displayed on a display at an establishment, the system comprising one or more servers that communicates with a client over a network, each server including one or more processors, memory and one or more programs stored in the memory, the one or more programs comprising instructions for: generating an overlay with information in response to a request from a user via the client that communicates with the one or more servers over the network; and positioning the overlay over programming content from the content provider that is distributed over the channel and displayed on the display at the establishment, wherein the overlay is positioned over programming content so that the overlay does not interfere with one or more tickers transmitted by the content provider over the programming content.
