DIDACTIC VIDEOS FOR VEHICLE OPERATION
A computer includes a processor and a memory storing instructions executable by the processor to record a first video of inputs to respective controls of a user interface of a vehicle, add metadata to the first video of respective times at which the respective inputs are provided, and generate a second video based on the first video and the metadata. The second video shows the user interface and highlights the respective controls corresponding to the respective inputs at the respective times.
Portable Audio Content Device and Method of Use Thereof
The present invention relates to a portable audio content device such as a USB flash drive with pre-loaded audio content. The device is compatible with the USB ports of music/audio systems of vehicles and enables playing audio without a Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, satellite, or internet connection. The device has a flash memory for loading audio content and a USB interface for inserting into the USB port of a music system. The device has a housing for accommodating flash memory, a memory controller, an integrated silicon package and a connector. The exterior surface of the housing displays an art cover or other images related to content stored in the drive. The drive provides a plurality of controls on display of the vehicle for controlling playing of the audio content. Further, the device can be formatted to load new audio content and/or delete existing audio content.
Vehicle entertainment system providing paired wireless connections for multiple wireless headphones and related methods
A vehicle entertainment system is for use with wireless headphones, with each wireless headphone being operable via a respective paired wireless connection. The vehicle entertainment system may include video entertainment displays for a vehicle, and a controller for the vehicle. The controller may be configured to establish respective paired wireless connections with the wireless headphones, and provide selectable access to a plurality of different audio/video (A/V) entertainment content streams. Each of the A/V entertainment content streams may include a respective video entertainment stream and an associated audio entertainment stream. The controller may be further configured to send selected video entertainment content streams for viewing at the video entertainment displays, and send selected audio entertainment content streams over the respective paired wireless connections for hearing at the wireless headphones.
Selected forwarding between serially chained devices
In described examples, a receiver includes a receiver input adapted to receive input data. A selector is coupled to an output of the receiver and is configured to generate a destination indication at an output of the selector. A switch is coupled to the receiver input. The switch is adapted to generate a first transmission at a switch local output in response to an indication of the selector output and the input data. The switch is further adapted to generate a second transmission at a switch system output in response to the input data. The switch local output is adapted to be coupled to a first destination node, and the switch system output is adapted to be coupled to a second destination node.
System, apparatus and method for providing remote tuner options in a vehicle entertainment system
In one example, a remote tuner module includes: a first tuner to receive, process and demodulate a first radio frequency (RF) signal to output an analog audio signal, and to receive and process a second RF signal to output a first downconverted modulated signal; a second tuner to receive and process the second RF signal to output a second downconverted modulated signal; a demodulator circuit coupled to the first and second tuners to demodulate and link the first and second modulated signals, to output a linked demodulated signal. The remote tuner module may further include a gateway circuit coupled to at least the demodulator circuit to output the analog audio signal and the linked demodulated signal.
DISTRIBUTED MEDIA CONTENT TRANSFER AND ACCESS MANAGEMENT
A method of managing media content on a vehicle comprises storing a media content library comprising a plurality of media content items in non-volatile data storage media disposed in the vehicle, storing access rule data in the non-volatile data storage media, establishing a connection with a remote computing device over a communication link, receiving, from the remote computing device over the communication link, an indication identifying a first subset of the media content library to be designated as active, updating the access rule data to indicate that the first subset of the media content library is designated as active, and presenting at least a portion of the first subset of the media content library on a media presentation device based at least in part on said updating.
Systems and methods for managing content distribution to an in-transit media system
Systems and methods for dynamically multiplexing requested linear media channels and network data on forward link traffic streams of a communication link to a craft media delivery system are provided. Furthermore, systems and methods for receiving dynamically multiplexed requested linear media channels and network data on forward link traffic streams of a communication link by a craft media delivery system are also provided.
VIRTUAL OPEN SKY IN SUPER FIRST-CLASS SUITES
A super first-class cabin includes a monitor disposed in the ceiling structure, a controller to render images on the monitor, and cameras to capture real-time streaming environmental images and renders them on the monitor. At the passenger's request, or when the passenger reclines, the controller may render a selection of mood affective images, for example to promote sleep if desired. Such mood affective images may be organized into a schedule associated with phases of flight to gently wake the passenger and prepare them for the end of the flight. The monitor may be employed to reduce the effects of flight-base time-disassociation by varying a daylight color scheme over the course of long flights, simulating a day/night routine to align the time of day at the origin of the flight with the time of day at the destination.
COMMUNICATING SHUFFLED MEDIA CONTENT
A method for communicating a playback order for a plurality of media content items to a user device operating in an online mode, the method performed at a server system and comprising receiving an indication that the user device will enter an offline mode, generating a playback order for the plurality of media content items, and transmitting the generated playback order to the user device before the user device enters the offline mode.
Media substitution task based on broadcast watermark
A radio receiver includes a tuner and processing circuitry, which in turn includes watermark detection circuitry and local playout control circuitry. The tuner receives an over-the-air radio broadcast on a tuned frequency. The over-the-air radio broadcast includes broadcast content. The processing circuitry, which is coupled to the tuner, is used to implement the watermark detection circuitry and local playout control circuitry. The watermark detection circuitry detects an actionable watermark included in the broadcast content, and transmits a watermark-detected signal to the local playout control circuitry in response to detecting the actionable watermark. In response to receiving the watermark-detected signal, the local playout control circuitry initiates retrieval of replacement content.
