Methods and systems for discovery of a processing offloader
Introduced here are systems to manage and discover a processing offloader. A first multimedia device may identify a processing offloader in a networked environment. A first multimedia device may determine that a bandwidth of a second multimedia device in the networked environment falls below a threshold bandwidth, indicating that the second multimedia device may process instructions and render multimedia information with increased latency or delay. Based on this determination, the first multimedia device may forward instructions from the second multimedia device to the processing offloader for the processing offloader to process and render multimedia information on behalf of the second multimedia device based on the received instructions. The first multimedia device may forward rendered multimedia information from the processing offloader to the second multimedia device, and the second multimedia device may output the rendered multimedia information to an output device.
COMPUTING DEVICE UPGRADING SYSTEM OVER A WIRELESS NETWORK
Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for a computing device upgrading system over a wireless network. An embodiment operates by determining that a computing device is connected to an upgrader device over a wireless network connection. It is determined that an upgrader mode of the computing device is activated based on the determination that the wireless network connection to the upgrader device is active. A command at is received at the computing device. It is determined that a speed of the wireless network connection exceeds a threshold. The command is transmitted to the upgrader device based on both the determination that the upgrader mode of the computing device is active and the determination that the speed of the wireless network connection exceeds the threshold. At the computing device, a response from the upgrader device executing the command is received, and content is output.
Network-based media device upgrading system
Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for a network-based media device upgrading system. An embodiment operates by receiving a fetch command from a first instance of an application executing locally on a host device. The fetch command is provided to a media device executing a second instance of the application. At the host device, metadata corresponding to the file that was retrieved by the media device is received. A rendering command is determined from the first instance of the application corresponding to displaying the interface including the fetched file as indicated by the metadata. The rendering command is provided to the media device that is configured to display the interface of the application responsive to executing the rendering command.
Systems and methods for providing services
Systems and methods for providing services are disclosed. One method can comprise receiving data having a first format and transmitting the data to a first device. The method may also comprise detecting a second device, automatically recognizing a supported second format of the detected second device, converting the data to the second format, and transmitting the converted data to the second device via wireless communication.
Image processing device
An image processing device includes a main SoC, an performance-enhancing SoC, and an external circuit set outside any of the two SoCs. The main SoC includes: a data splitter dividing input image data into a first input part and a second input part; a first image processing circuit processing the first input part to generate a first output part; and a transmitter outputting the second input part to the performance-enhancing SoC via the external circuit. The performance-enhancing SoC includes: a receiver receiving the second input part via the external circuit; and a second image processing circuit processing the second input part to generate a second output part. The combination of the two output parts jointly determines a data amount per unit of time which exceeds the processing capability of any of the two image processing circuits. Each of the two SoCs includes a CPU, and the two CPUs cooperate, too.
PORT-CONNECTED TELEVISION UPGRADER DEVICE
Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for a port-connected television upgrader system. An embodiment operates by determining that an application that streams output is installed on a television. A command to execute a function of the application is received. It is determined that an upgrader device is physically connected to the television through a port of the television. The command is provided to the upgrader device physically connected to the television. A response to the command is received by the television from the upgrader device. Content corresponding to executing the response is output by the television.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR CONFIGURING A DEVICE FOR ACCESS TO A WIRELESS NETWORK
Device for access to a wireless network, the device is connected to a Personal Computer Memory Card International Association (PCMCIA) connector of a television signal receiver. Network configuration data is passed from the television signal receiver to the device via the PCMCIA connector. An embodiment operates by displaying a native user interface of a media device configured to operate in both a normal mode without an upgrader device and an upgrader mode when an upgrader device is connected to an input port of the media device. It is determined that the upgrader device is connected a command is received via the native user interface. It is determined that the command operates a software component, and the command is provided to the upgrader device. A response to executing the command is received from the upgrader device, and a response is displayed on the native user interface.
