METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR SUPPLEMENTING SET-TOP BOX PROCESSING WITH ADDITIONAL PROCESSOR RESOURCES
Disclosed are methods for supplementing the processing capabilities of multimedia devices in a networked environment. A method can include providing a processing offloader module to physically connect to a first multimedia device in the networked environment. The offloader can be internal and/or external to the device. The method can include identifying the offloader, identifying a second multimedia device, and determining that a bandwidth of the second device falls below a threshold bandwidth. Instructions can be forwarded from the second device to the offloader when the bandwidth of the second device exceeds the threshold bandwidth. The offloader is configured to process the instructions and render multimedia information based on the instructions. A first communication can be transmitted to the second multimedia device indicating a request to enable a proxy configured to output received rendered multimedia information and the rendered multimedia information can be forwarded from the offloader to the second device.
Time Division Multiplexing Method for Decoding Hardware
The invention relates to the technical field of software systems, and more particularly, to a time division multiplexing method for decoding hardware. The method comprises: Step S1, providing a decoding hardware; Step S2, instantiating the decoding hardware into a first decoder and a second decoder; and Step S3, decoding a first data stream through the first decoder, and decoding a second data stream through the second decoder. Compared to the prior art, the present invention has the advantages that the efficiency of the decoder is improved, and the detect that the efficiency is insufficient due to the fact that the decoder runs under high-load decoding through software when the decoder is insufficient in video call application is overcome, and meanwhile, under the condition that multiple hardware decoders exist, the hardware resources are saved, and a new idea is provided for the running cost.
Method of using a mobile device with a television display
A method and system for micro-cloud computing is described. An application serving node, which is a specifically configured piece of customer premises equipment such as a set-top box, is the server for a micro-cloud network. Various user devices that form part of the micro-cloud network, such as television sets and smart phones, communicate with the application serving node. The application serving node is configured with software that allows various heterogeneous types of data to be obtained and streamed to the user devices in multiple ways. The application serving node performs much of the processing necessary for such content streaming itself and thus represents an edge-based network architecture.
Method and apparatus for providing content based upon a selected language
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, providing media content to a presentation device, wherein the media content comprises first audio content in a first language; receiving, from an end user device, a language request, wherein the language request identifies a second language; obtaining, responsive to the second language, second audio content, wherein the second audio content is a translation of the first audio content into the second language; providing, to the end user device, the second audio content; obtaining, responsive to the second language identified in the language request, supplemental audio content, wherein the supplemental audio content is in the second language, wherein the supplemental audio content is not a translation of the first audio content into the second language, and wherein the supplemental audio content relates to the second language; and providing, to the end user device, the supplemental audio content. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Systems And Methods For Providing Services
Systems and methods for providing services are disclosed. One method can comprise receiving data having a first format and transmitting the data to a first device. The method may also comprise detecting a second device, automatically recognizing a supported second format of the detected second device, converting the data to the second format, and transmitting the converted data to the second device via wireless communication.
NETWORK-BASED MEDIA DEVICE UPGRADING SYSTEM
Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for a network-based media device upgrading system. An embodiment operates by receiving a fetch command from a first instance of an application executing locally on a host device. The fetch command is provided to a media device executing a second instance of the application. At the host device, metadata corresponding to the file that was retrieved by the media device is received. A rendering command is determined from the first instance of the application corresponding to displaying the interface including the fetched file as indicated by the metadata. The rendering command is provided to the media device that is configured to display the interface of the application responsive to executing the rendering command
Method of unscrambling television content on a bandwidth
A method and system for micro-cloud computing is described. An application serving node, which is a specifically configured piece of customer premises equipment such as a set-top box, is the server for a micro-cloud network. Various user devices that form part of the micro-cloud network, such as television sets and smart phones, communicate with the application serving node. The application serving node is configured with software that allows various heterogeneous types of data to be obtained and streamed to the user devices in multiple ways. The application serving node performs much of the processing necessary for such content streaming itself and thus represents an edge-based network architecture.
COMPUTER BASED SYSTEM FOR CONFIGURING, MANUFACTURING, TESTING, DIAGNOSING, AND RESETTING TARGET UNIT EQUIPMENT AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
In some embodiments, the present disclosure provides an exemplary method that may include the steps of providing a computing device associated with a plurality of user; receiving output data transmitted from a target unit; analyzing the output data; transmitting a plurality of interaction commands; transmitting the plurality of interaction commands to an application or operating system; determining a plurality of identifying key words; dynamically determining a configuration screen image based on an identification of the plurality of identifying key words associated with the plurality of graphical user interface displays; automatically selecting a configuration setting associated with the plurality of interactive image elements based on the configurations screen image; and executing a plurality of ameliorative actions associated with the configuration setting.
Integrated video codec and inference engine
Systems, apparatuses, and methods for integrating a video codec with an inference engine are disclosed. A system is configured to implement an inference engine and a video codec while sharing at least a portion of its processing elements between the inference engine and the video codec. By sharing processing elements when combining the inference engine and the video codec, the silicon area of the combination is reduced. In one embodiment, the portion of processing elements which are shared include a motion prediction/motion estimation/MACs engine with a plurality of multiplier-accumulator (MAC) units, an internal memory, and peripherals. The peripherals include a memory interface, a direct memory access (DMA) engine, and a microprocessor. The system is configured to perform a context switch to reprogram the processing elements to switch between operating modes. The context switch can occur at a frame boundary or at a sub-frame boundary.
