An exemplary embodiment provides clarifying supplemental information to a user who has become confused about a currently presenting media content event.

A method, a computer program product, and a computer system for filtering content based on user state is disclosed. Exemplary embodiments include associating a user with one or more cohorts and extracting one or more features from a content retrieved by the user. Moreover, exemplary embodiments may further include determining whether at least one of the one or more features conflict with at least one of the one or more cohorts.

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, generating a video scene adapted to establish an ambiance setting and providing the video scene to equipment of a user for presentation at a display device. A visual focus is detected of the user towards presentation of the video scene displayed proximate to the user and the video scene is modified responsive to the visual focus. The modifying of the video scene is adapted to discourage visual focus of the user towards the presentation of the video scene. Other embodiments are disclosed.

In some implementations, a method of reducing latency associated with an image read-out operation is performed at a device including one or more processors, non-transitory memory, an image processing architecture, and an image capture device. The method includes: obtaining first image data corresponding to a physical environment; reading a first slice of the first image data into an input buffer; performing processing operations on the first slice of the first image data to obtain a first portion of second image data; reading a second slice of the first image data into the input buffer; performing the image processing operations on the second slice of the first image data to obtain a second portion of the second image data; and generating an image frame of the physical environment based at least in part on the first and second portions of the second image data.

Methods and systems are disclosed herein for a media guidance application that enhances the viewer experience by providing supplemental content related to a media asset during a fast-access playback operation. For example, in response to a user input during a fast-forward or rewind operation, the media guidance application may generate for display supplemental content related to the progression point of the media asset at which the user input was received while the fast-forward or rewind operation continues.

Systems and methods are disclosed herein for detecting a first reaction by a user when consuming a media asset at a first time, where a first magnitude of the first reaction exceeds a first threshold. The system accesses the viewing history of the user profile to determine media assets consumed and the mood score associated with each of the consumed media assets of the plurality of media assets. A cumulative mood score is calculated based at least in part to determine if the total score is below a mood threshold. Based on the cumulative mood score being lower than the mood threshold, the system generates for presentation, on the consumer device, one or more media assets with a positive mood score.
