When two or more users, each using a device configured to present emotional/cognitive state data, are in proximity to one another, each device communicates an emotional/cognitive state of the user of the device to another device. Upon receiving data indicating an emotional/cognitive state of another user, an indication of the emotional/cognitive state of the user is presented.

A method and system for real-time customizing and synchronizing media by a client device in communication with a server device. A client device customizes stock media content based on user preferences, and synchronizes the customized content for playback with a server-side playback of the stock media content.

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method that includes obtaining, by a processing system including a processor, a user profile for a user of a media service, and selecting, in accordance with the user profile, program components for inclusion in a media program to be presented via the media service. The method also includes generating the media program using the selected program components, and presenting the media program at equipment of the user. The method also includes obtaining sensor data associated with the user, and determining a user engagement level during presentation of the media program, based on the sensor data. The method further includes adjusting at least one of the program components responsive to the user engagement level, thereby generating a modified media program for presentation to the user. An electronic device includes a camera, a communication circuit, and at least one processor configured to receive, via the communication circuit, information related to content reproduced by an external display device, obtain, by the camera, a first image including the external display device, based on the external display device being identified to be outside of an identifiable range of the camera, generate a virtual object corresponding to the external display device, obtain the content reproduced by the external display device, based on the information related to the content reproduced by the external display device, and reproduce the obtained content within an area of the virtual object.

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, obtaining a first group of video content streams of an event, determining a first point of view of a plurality of audience members of the event, and selecting a first portion of the first group of video content streams of the event according to the first point of view of the plurality of audience members. Further aspects can include aggregating the first portion of the first group of video content streams resulting in first aggregated video content, generating first augmented reality content from the first aggregated video content according to the first point of view, and providing the first augmented reality content to a communication device. Systems and methods for controlling a smart streaming device are disclosed herein. The smart streaming device is controlled based on a position of an ultra-wideband (UWB) device. Based on the position of the UWB device, one or more service events for the smart streaming device can be conducted. For example, a privacy mode of the smart streaming device can be enabled or disabled based on the position of the UWB device. In another example, a distance can be determined between the smart streaming device and the position of the UWB device. Based on the distance, an output configuration of the smart streaming device can be set, such as dynamically adjusting volume or text size on the smart streaming device.

Provided is a terminal. The terminal may include an input and output interface configured to receive a first video capturing a first user, a communication interface configured to transmit the first video or a first sound of the first user to a terminal of a counterpart and receive a second video or second sound, which is obtained by the terminal of the counterpart, through a video call session, a display configured to display the first video and the second video, and a processor configured to detect a specific event during the video call session, determine whether an inappropriate element is included in the first video or the first sound when the specific event is detected, and stop transmitting the first video or the first sound according to a result of the determination.

Media content typically includes closed captioning information such as subtitled in domestic and foreign languages. Techniques and mechanisms provide that closed captioning information may be toggled on/off using menu options and preferences as well as automatically managed by intelligently monitoring the environment surrounding a device. Device sensors such as microphones and vibration monitors determine the noise level of an environment as well as the spectral characteristics of the noise to determine whether the noise profile would interfere with the video playback experience. A particular environmental noise profile could automatically trigger the display of closed captioning information or present an easy access, otherwise unavailable toggle to display closed captioning information associated with a video stream.

Example embodiments provide a system and method for dynamically triggering display of recommendations during an end-of-show period. A digital receiver identifies an end-of-show period for a piece of digital content. The end-of-show period indicates a portion at an end of the piece of digital content during which display of recommendations can be triggered. The digital receiver monitors for a motion indication signal from a remote control device. In response to both playback of the piece of digital content being within the end-of-show period and a determination that the motion indication signal is received, the digital receiver causes immediate display of one or more recommendations of further digital content.

In an operation method of an image display device receiving a broadcast signal, interworking with an interworking device, and including a display unit, an event related to the broadcast signal or an event occurring from the interworking device is obtained.
