Electronic apparatus and control method thereof
An electronic apparatus including: a display; a signal receiver including circuitry configured to receive a broadcast signal; a processor configured to control the electronic apparatus to: obtain first information about a broadcasting schedule corresponding to a plurality of channels provided through the broadcast signal, determine a recommendation level of a program corresponding to a time unit section having a predetermined time length with regard to a plurality of programs of the plurality of channels based on the obtained first information, obtain second information about a broadcasting schedule of the programs selected based on the determined recommendation level among the plurality of programs, and process the broadcasting schedule of the selected programs to be displayed on the display based on the obtained second information.
User terminal device and method for control thereof and system for providing contents
A user terminal device, a method for controlling the user terminal device, and a system for providing content are disclosed. The user terminal device may include a communicator configured to communicate with a display device, a detector configured to detect a distance between the user terminal device and the display device, a plurality of inputters configured to receive input of a user command, and a controller. The controller is configured to activate at least one of the plurality of inputters in response to a detection that the user terminal is within a predetermined distance with respect to the display device. The user terminal device may control an operation of the display device according to the distance between the user terminal device and the display device.
NETWORK COOPERATION-BASED LOW POWER TYPE CHARGED BROADCASTING SET-TOP BOX AND CONTROLLING METHOD THEREFOR
A network cooperation-based low power type charged broadcasting set-top box and a controlling method therefor, the set-top box sub-dividing a standby mode of the set-top box into an active standby mode, in which only background functions are processed without processing a main function, and a passive standby mode, in which no functions are processed; extending the passive standby mode occupation time to more than that of the active standby mode; and including a way of transitioning between operating modes by exchanging information regarding the set-top box through an inter-cooperation between a charged broadcasting network and the set-top box, thereby reducing the power consumption of a processor (SoC) which processes multimedia contents and minimizing the power consumption while the set-top box is in standby mode.

FIRST-SCREEN NAVIGATION WITH CHANNEL SURFING, BACKDROP REVIEWING AND CONTENT PEEKING
A method is implemented at an Internet-connected remote control device for reviewing content channels on an Internet-connected display device that is associated with the remote control device via a user account maintained at a server. In response to receiving a user actuation of a user button, the remote control identifies a first Internet content channel that is currently being displayed on the display device, and obtains a preferred channel list including a sequence of Internet content channels that is associated with the user account and includes the first Internet content channel. The remote control then identifies a second Internet content channel that follows the first Internet content channel in the preferred channel list, and transmits to the server a first channel change message including information of the second Internet content channel to cause the Internet-connected display device to display media content provided by the second content channel.

Integration of transaction status indications
Facilitating transaction status indications for point-of-sale (POS) systems is described. A POS application stored on a POS terminal of a POS system may communicate with a payment reader device coupled to the POS terminal and a payment server application. The POS application may receive, from a customer device associated with a customer and via a short-range communication network, payment information for satisfying a cost of a transaction. The POS application may send the payment information to the payment server application to attempt to authorize the payment information for the cost of the transaction and may receive, from the payment server application, an indication of a status of the transaction. Responsive to receiving the indication of the status of the transaction, the payment reader device and the customer device may output respective aspects of a transaction status indication associated with the status of the transaction.
