HDR metadata transport
A video distribution system transfers a formatted video signal (20) having elementary streams representing audiovisual content to be rendered in a selected combination and stream information indicative of selectable elementary streams. The formatted video signal represents extended video having an extended range (HDR) of brightness and/or color. A video device (21) processes input video to provide video processing metadata representing a conversion between standard video and the extended video. The formatted video signal comprises a primary video elementary stream representing standard or extended video, a video processing elementary stream not comprising audiovisual content but comprising video processing metadata representing a conversion between standard and extended video or vice versa, and extended stream information comprising an entry indicative of the video processing elementary stream. Advantageously a video player (22), for example a BD player, is enabled to render both extended and standard video based on the extended stream information and the video processing elementary stream.
Method, system and computer program product for editing movies in distributed scalable media environment
A movie editor converts a received movie into a proxy format, and creates a texture strip representing the frames of the movie. An editor can use the texture strip to edit the movie, rather than editing the movie directly. Deep tags and/or special effects can be defined for the texture strip using a graphical interface. The graphical interface enables movies to be combined into a playback product according to a control structure graphically presented in the graphical interface.
SINK DEVICE, SOURCE DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
A first electronic device includes: at least one processor configured to: transmit first EDID information including a first block structure to a second electronic device; receive AV data from the second electronic device; identify an output state of the AV data; based on that the output state of the AV data is identified as abnormal, requesting a first parameter to the second electronic device; generate third EDID information including a second block structure based on the first parameter, a second parameter related to a number of ACKs obtained based on storing the first EDID information in the at least one memory of the first electronic device, or a third parameter related to a number of blocks of fourth EDID information; and transmit a HPD signal for transmitting third EDID information including the second block structure to the second electronic device.
Non-volatile memory system and method for storing and transferring set top box system data
A nonvolatile memory is coupled to a processor in a set top box. On the timing sequence set within the system, set top box data is transferred from the processor to the nonvolatile memory. Set top box system data includes user data and set top box specific data. The current data is maintained in the nonvolatile memory. The system data can be transferred to second memory by a wireless connection even when the set top box is not coupled to a power supply. The system data can then be provided from the second memory to any selected device, computer or location, such as another set top box, a diagnostic tool, a repair facility or other selected location.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR USING TELECOMMUNICATION NETWORKS TO CONTROL MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT DEVICES
A system and method for controlling media devices over telecommunication networks is disclosed. In particular embodiments, the system and method utilize cellular telecommunication networks. The present system and method allows a user to control and, in some instances, unify a multitude of devices over the telecommunication network. Through telecommunication networks, such as cellular networks, media and entertainment can be shared between multiple devices.
Self-learning application test automation
A self-learning automated application testing system automatically generates test scripts during the execution of an application using an automatic test script generator plugged into the application. The test scripts are generated by capturing event data of events emitted during the execution of the application. The test scripts are compared to the test scripts stored in a test script repository and those test scripts that are determined to be duplicates of the existing test scripts are discarded while the remaining test scripts are stored as new test scripts in the test script repository. An application tester runs regression tests on the application per the new test scripts and logs the results to a test results repository. A dashboard is also provided that enables a user to view and edit the test scripts from the test scripts repository, change configuration settings from a configuration repository, and view test results from the test results repository.
Information processing apparatus, information recording medium, image processing method, and program for converting a color space of an image
An information processing apparatus may include circuitry configured to: receive a first image (201), a second image (202) and first color space information (BT.2020) indicating a first color space of the first image; convert a second color space (BT.709) of the second image to a converted color space (BT.2020) same as the first color space, when the second color space is different from the first color space; and generate a display image (209) including the first image and the second image having the converted color space.
Method, system and computer program product for distributed video editing
A network editor comprises a central location with stored videos such as movies that can be edited by editors at remote locations. An editor receives a representation of a video and specifies edits relative to the representation, enabling the editor to use a device lacking sufficient processing capability to edit the video directly, and also reducing the volume of information transmitted between the central location and the remote editor. The central location is able to provide the edited movie in a format suitable to the display capabilities of the viewing device of the viewer requesting the edited video.
RECORDING MEDIUM, PLAYBACK DEVICE, AND PLAYBACK METHOD
A play back device includes a readout unit and a playback unit. The readout unit reads out an encoded main video stream and an encoded sub-video stream that are recorded in a recording medium. The sub-video stream is a sub-video that is to be superimposed on the main video and displayed. The playback unit plays the main video stream and the sub-video stream that have been read out. The sub-video stream includes multiple sets, each set including a first sub-video stream for a first luminance dynamic range and a second sub-video stream for a second luminance dynamic range, which is wider than the first luminance dynamic range. In the same set in the multiple sets, a registration order of the first sub-video stream in the first database and a registration order of the second sub-video stream in the second database are the same.
Multi-user media delivery system for synchronizing content on multiple media players
An interactive, multi-user media delivery system having a number of media storage mediums, each of containing a particular media selection, and a number of media players structured to selectively deliver the media selection to users. Each of the media players includes a control assembly structured to selectively control and regulate delivery of the media selection to the user, and at least one of the media players is selectively designatable as a slave unit. A master control assembly is further provided and is operatively associated with the media players, a connectivity assembly being included to establish a communicative link at least between the slave unit(s) and the master control assembly. The master control assembly is further structured to receive synchronization data from each of the media players, and to simultaneously and uniformly control the delivery of the media selection by the media players.
