Audio Playback Adjustment
A first playback device is configured to (i) place audio frames representative of audio content in a buffer, each frame including respective playback timing information identifying a time to play back the audio frame, (ii) transmit the audio frames in the buffer to a second playback device, (iii) receive a command to adjust playback of the audio content, (iv) based on the command, identify a range of audio frames previously transmitted, (v) select a new start time for the range of audio frames, (vi) cause the second playback device to update the playback timing information for each audio frame in the range based on the new start time, (vii) update, in the buffer, the playback timing information for each audio frame in the range based on the new start time, and (viii) play back the audio content in synchrony with the second playback device based on the updated playback timing information.
IMAGE OUTPUT METHOD AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE SUPPORTING SAME
An electronic device includes: a display; and a processor configured to: play a video on the display by using a first application, obtain playback information associated with playing the video by using the first application, activate a second application while the video is played by using the first application, determine a frame of the video corresponding to a time point at which the second application is activated, and seek the frame to play the video by using the second application, based on the second application being able to seek the frame within a reference time.
Audio playback control method, audio playback control apparatus and storage medium
A audio playback control method includes: triggering switching audio of media content played on a terminal to a first audio playback device for playback in response to a distance between the terminal and the first audio playback device reaching a communicable distance for near field communication during a process of playing the media content on the terminal; and switching the audio of the media content played on the first audio playback device to a second audio playback device for playback in response to the second audio playback device being triggered to play the media content during a process of playing the media content on the first audio playback device.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INITIATING A PLAYBACK PAUSE OPERATION ON ONE DEVICE AND RESUMING PLAYBACK ON ANOTHER PLAYBACK DEVICE
Methods and apparatus that support implementing a pause, e.g., of a broadcast, on a device, recording the paused program and resuming playback of the paused program on a device associated with a user's account, are described. The pause function allows a user to pause a broadcast on a device and initiate recording of the paused program, e.g., to network storage. The pause initiating device displays a pause indicator indicating that the program output has been paused. A user logging into the user's account from a device other than the device from which the pause was initiated is presented an opportunity to resume the paused playback. Playback is resumed from the pause point on the playback device from which a resume signal is received. Upon resumption of playback on a device other than the device from which the pause was initiated, the pause indicator on the pause initiating device is removed.
APPARATUS, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TRICK FUNCTION VIEWING OF MEDIA CONTENT
Systems and methods provide presentation control of media content. An exemplary embodiment receives media content that is currently received in a broadcasted media content stream; presents on a display a first presentation area, wherein the first presentation area presents a video portion of the media content; receives a user command that initiates a video presentation trick function; and presents in response to the user command a second presentation area, wherein the second presentation area presents the video portion of the media content in accordance with the video presentation trick function, and wherein the first presentation area and the second presentation area are concurrently presented on the display.
APPARATUS, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GENERATING 3D MODEL DATA FROM A MEDIA CONTENT EVENT
Three dimension (3D) model generation systems and methods are operable to generate 3D model data corresponding to images of a physical object of interest that are viewed in a presenting media content event. An exemplary embodiment receives a user request that is associated with an interest by the user to obtain a 3D model of a physical object of interest that is being shown in a scene of a currently presenting media content event. A plurality of video image frames are selected from the scene. Then, 3D model data of the physical object of interest is generated based on at least the selected video image frames of the scene.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING WORD DEFINITIONS BASED ON USER EXPOSURE
Systems and methods are disclosed herein for providing a definition of a word encountered by the user during media consumption when a profile of the user reflects an insufficient understanding of the word. To this end, a media guidance application may detect a word appearing in media, and may determine that the word satisfies a user-specific criterion. Further, the media guidance application may determine that the exposure of the user to the word reflects an insufficient understanding of the word by calculating the level of exposure of the user to the word and comparing the level of exposure to an exposure criterion. The media guidance application may then provide a definition of the word to the user.
INTERACTION INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, CLIENT, SERVICE PLATFORM, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose an interaction information processing method, a client, and a service platform. An interaction information processing method applied to a first account includes: receiving a first information collection operation when playing first multimedia information; responding to the first information collection operation, pausing playing the first multimedia information, and collecting second multimedia information, the second multimedia information being included in a first interaction information; and sending the first interaction information to the service platform, wherein the first interaction information is available being played when the second account plays the first multimedia information. The embodiments of the present disclosure further disclose a computer storage medium.
Methods and systems for controlling media display in a smart media display environment
A method is implemented on a casting device to enable a follow-me mode in which the casting device controls display of media content on an output device coupled to the casting device. The casting device detects a client device associated with the casting device, and determines a proximity of the client device. In accordance with a determination that the client device is within a proximity threshold of the casting device, the casting device receives content information associated with content recently accessed by the client device, obtains the content from a content source in accordance with the content information, and outputs the obtained content to an output device in accordance with the content information.
Multimedia signal processing system
A multimedia signal processing system utilizes an easily manipulated, low-cost storage and display system that allows the user to view a television program and instantly review previous scenes within the program. The invention also allows the user to store selected programs while simultaneously watching or reviewing another. A versatile system architecture enables providing the invention in multiple configurations, each adapted to receive input signals from a different source. At the highest level, the system includes an input section and an output section. Across all configurations, the output section remains substantially the same, while the input section varies according to the signal type and the source. Thus, several configurations are provided, each one requiring only minor system board modifications. The system architecture thus simplifies the design and manufacturing challenge presented by producing units to serve different markets, such as digital satellite, digital cable and analog cable.
