Apparatus, systems and methods for user controlled synchronization of presented video and audio streams
Systems and methods are operable to correct synchronization between a video stream and an audio stream presented to a user. An exemplary embodiment receives a synchronization correction instruction, wherein the synchronization correction is configured to be initiated by the user; and incrementally adjusts one of the video stream and the audio stream by a synchronization correction, wherein the synchronization correction advances or retards presentation of at least one of the video stream and the audio stream by a predefined duration.
Adaptive streaming with demuxed audio and video tracks
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, accessing adaptive streaming information for a multimedia content segment, determining available access bandwidths for a plurality of video tracks and a plurality of audio tracks identified by the adaptive streaming information, selecting one of a plurality of candidate track pairings identified by the adaptive streaming information based on the available access bandwidths, obtaining video content of the multimedia content segment via a video track of the selected track pairing, and obtaining audio content of the multimedia content segment via an audio track of the selected track pairing. Remultiplexing bitstreams of encoded video for video playback
An encoded bitstream is processed without re-encoding so as to recombine multiple packets of each image into contiguous data of one packet for the image. Each packet is assigned a presentation time stamp, corresponding to the display order of its image in the sequence of images. In one embodiment, each intra-frame compressed image also is marked as a recovery point indicating that a decompression processor empties its buffers of data for prior groups of pictures before processing the image. A video editing or other playback application uses the converted bitstream for scrubbing and similar playback operations.

The method includes acquiring a video type of a video file scheduled for playing; determining whether the video type is a specified type; and if the video type is a specified type, controlling a graphics processor to process the video file scheduled for playing and then display same on a screen.
Vehicle entertainment tablet unit and cradle
A vehicle entertainment system includes a tablet unit and a cradle. The tablet unit includes a display and a touch screen input device disposed on a front surface, a first electrical connection, a first mounting mechanism, and a wireless receiver. The wireless receiver is configured to receive media data from a wireless network and the touch screen input device is configured to receive input from a user. The cradle is disposed in a headrest in a vehicle and includes a second electrical connection and a second mounting mechanism. The tablet unit is electrically connected to the cradle via the first and second electrical connections, and is physically coupled to the cradle via the first and second mounting mechanisms upon mounting the tablet unit to the cradle.
Audio/video reproduction system, video display device, and audio output device for synchronizing decoding of video frames by the video display device to decoding of audio frames by the audio output device
Audio decoding (108) is carried out in a video display device (10), and a frame number (AC) of the decoded audio is wirelessly transmitted, together with audio data, to an audio output device (20). An audio frame number (RC) is returned from the audio output device (20) to the video display device (10). The timing of video decoding (106) is controlled such that the frame number (VC) of the video decoded in the video display device (10) matches the returned audio frame number (RC). Even if it is not possible to predict the delays such as those involved with transmission from the video display device to the audio output device, and even if the delays fluctuate, it is possible to synchronize the video display with the audio output.
System and method for conditional access in an in-home network based on multi-network communication
One or more circuits for use in a transceiver that is collocated with a satellite dish, may receive a satellite signal carrying media content, and remove content protection from the received media content. After removing the first content protection, the one or more circuits may apply second content protection to the media content. The content protection applied by the one or more circuits may adhere to a different protocol, utilize different keys, and/or otherwise be distinguishable from the content protection that was removed. After applying the content protection, the one or more circuits may transmit the media content onto one or more links between the satellite dish and one or more client devices. The removal of the content protection may comprise descrambling and/or decrypting the media content. The application of the content protection may comprise scrambling and/or encrypting the media content.
EXTENDED SCENE VIEW
The disclosure provide methods and content consumption devices that enable a scene, for example a 360° scene, that is larger (i.e. has more pixels in at least one dimension) than a display format of the content consumption device to be displayed. Constituent scene views are received individually by the content consumption device, for example as broadcasts, and are combined, for example stitched together, at the content consumption device to output a part of the scene that fits in the display format. The part of the scene (and hence the required constituent streams) to be displayed are determined by a signal, for example a navigational input from a user, enabling the user to navigate in the scene.
TV and operating method therefor
Provided is an operating method of a TV for allocating a dynamic channel for content transmitted from an outside. The method includes: receiving a first content from the outside; generating a dynamic channel for the first content; displaying a channel change guide according to the first content reception; entering the dynamic channel according to a first channel change input; displaying a playback screen of the first content according to the dynamic channel entry; and exiting from the dynamic channel according to a second channel change input, wherein the dynamic channel is formed of a channel that is the closest to a recent broadcast channel.

A contents receiving system can include a content receiver and a portable terminal storing ID information. The content receiver can further include: a receiving unit capable of receiving content and subsidiary content from at least one of a broadcast wave and a network; an output unit capable of outputting, as audio video content, a video and/or audio of the content received by the receiving unit; a transmission unit capable of transmitting the subsidiary content to the portable terminal, the transmission unit enabling information on a payment transaction corresponding to an ID information of the portable terminal to be transmitted to the portable terminal individually, the portable terminal including: a second transmission unit capable of receiving the subsidiary content and the information on the payment transaction transmitted from the transmission unit of the content receiver; and a processing unit for performing a processing regarding the payment transaction.
