RECEIVING DEVICE, TRANSMITTING DEVICE, AND DATA PROCESSING METHOD
The present technology relates to a receiving device, a transmitting device, and a data processing method which are capable of providing a broadcast service using a wide bandwidth more flexibly. A receiving device processes a stream in which delivery configuration information indicating that the stream of the broadcast service is delivered across a predetermined frequency band is included in transmission information which is transmitted through an upper layer higher than a physical layer, the stream having a delivery configuration corresponding to the delivery configuration information, so that a broadcast service using a wider bandwidth can be provided. The present technology can be applied to a FW proxy device connected to a network such as, a home LAN, a head end of a cable operator, a base station of a mobile network, or the like.
Decryption and variant processing
A plurality of byte ranges including at least one encrypted byte range forms a variant sample for providing a digital watermark in content output by a player device. The plurality of byte ranges is ordered in a secured memory, and stored in an unsecured memory including one or more encrypted byte ranges for further processing of the ordered plurality of byte ranges. According to another aspect, a plurality of byte ranges forms a sample for content output from a player device, and includes at least one double-encrypted byte range. The plurality of byte ranges is stored in a secured memory, and the at least one double-encrypted byte range is partially decrypted to generate at least one decrypted singe-encrypted byte range. The plurality of byte ranges is stored in an unsecured memory using the at least one decrypted single-encrypted byte range in place of the at least one double-encrypted byte range.
METHOD OF DECODING AN INCOMING AUDIO/VIDEO STREAM
A method of decoding an incoming audio/video stream received by a decoder box that is connected to audio playback equipment and to video playback equipment, the method comprising the steps of evaluating an audio latency and a video latency; if the audio (or respectively video) latency is greater than the video (or resp. audio) latency, testing a first condition to ensure that the time difference (t_a, t_v) between the presentation time stamp of the audio (or resp. video) samples and the reference clock signal is sufficient, and if the first condition is satisfied, acting, when decoding the audio (or resp. video), to decrease the presentation time stamp of the audio (or resp. video) samples in order to advance playback of the audio (or resp. video) samples, thereby compensating at least in part the latency difference between the audio (or resp. video) latency and the video (or resp. audio) latency.
Video processing system for demultiplexing received compressed and non-compressed video signals and transmitting demultiplexed signals
The present invention is intended to permit both real-time display of a picture represented by a non-compressed video signal on a television and display of a picture represented by a compressed video signal at any desired time by simultaneously transmitting the compressed video signal and non-compressed video signal via one interface. An STB packetizes a compressed video signal, and multiplexes the compressed video signal and a blanking signal combined with a non-compressed video signal. Thus, both the video signals are transmitted simultaneously. A picture represented by the non-compressed video signal is displayed on a television in real time. The compressed video signal is stored in a storage medium incorporated in the television, read at any user's desired time, and decoded so that a picture represented by the compressed video signal can be viewed at the user's desired time.
Television program switching method and apparatus
A television program switching method includes that a program selection instruction entered by a user is received when an electronic program guide (EPG) screen is displayed on a mobile terminal, where the program selection instruction includes a program identifier, and where the EPG screen includes at least two program identifiers and first program information corresponding to each program identifier. The EPG is searched for program frequency information corresponding to the program identifier according to the program identifier, and the program frequency information is sent to a to-be-controlled television.
METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND MEDIA FOR SYNCHRONIZING AUDIO AND VIDEO CONTENT ON MULTIPLE MEDIA DEVICES
Methods, systems, and media for synchronizing audio and video content on multiple media devices are provided. In some embodiments, the method comprises: receiving, at a media device, an indication of a media content item to be presented using the media device, wherein the media device includes an audio component for presenting audio content associated with the media content item and a video component for presenting video content associated with the media content item; determining that the media device is associated with a group of media devices for presenting the media content item, wherein the group of media devices includes the media device and at least one audio device that presents the audio content associated with the media content item; generating an audio timestamp that controls the presentation of the audio content on the group of media devices; generating a video timestamp that control the presentation of the video content on the group of media devices, wherein the video timestamp is based on the generated audio timestamp; and causing, at the media device, the video content associated with the media content item to be presented using the generated video timestamp and causing the audio content associated with the media content item to be simultaneously presented by the at least one audio device in the group of media devices by transmitting the audio timestamp to the at least one audio device in the group of media devices.
Systems and Methods for Saving Encoded Media Streamed Using Adaptive Bitrate Streaming
Systems and methods for saving encoded media streamed using adaptive bitrate streaming in accordance with embodiments of the invention are disclosed. In one embodiment of the invention, a playback device configured to perform adaptive bitrate streaming of media includes a video decoder application and a processor, where the video decoder application configures the processor to select a download stream from a set of alternative streams of video data, measure streaming conditions and request a stream of video data from the alternative streams of video data, receive portions of video data from the requested stream of video data, decode the received video data, save the received video data to memory, when the received video data is from the download stream and separately download and save the corresponding portion of video data from the download stream to memory, when the received video data is not from the download stream.
Sensing based audio signal injection
Processing circuitry of a connectivity device can receive an audio video signal from a first source. The processing circuitry can also receive an audio signal from a second source. The processing circuitry can transmit the audio video signal to a sink device. When an audio level from the second source exceeds a threshold, the processing circuitry can send the audio signal from the second source along with the video signal from the first source to the sink device.
Multiplexed delivery of media associated with guide display options
Methods, systems, and computer readable media can be operable to facilitate a multiplexed delivery of media associated with guide display options. A transport stream carrying media associated with a current context of an interactive guide application may be supplemented with one or more secondary streams that are associated with other contexts of the interactive guide application that are likely to be requested from subsequent user interactions. The other contexts of the interactive guide may be determined based upon a correlation between the other contexts and the current context of the interactive guide. When a user interaction occurs at a multimedia device, the multimedia device may retrieve a media stream associated with the user interaction from a transport stream that is currently being received by the multimedia device, from a buffer at the multimedia device, or from local storage associated with the multimedia device.
