A method, an apparatus and an electronic device for processing a subtitle beyond scope are provided. In the method, size information of a display device of a terminal is acquired, where the size information indicates a size of the display device. A secure zone is established according to the size information, where the secure zone has a size less than or equal to the size of the display device. A video frame is selected from video images in response to playing the video images by the terminal. A composite frame is generated using parts of the video frame that are beyond the secure zone. It is judged whether the composite frame contains text. It is determined that a subtitle in the video images is beyond scope if the composite frame contains text.

The video message generation method includes: receiving a comment instruction for a video; determining a target frame corresponding to the comment instruction in the video; obtaining input comment content of the target frame; and generating a video message based on the video, the target frame, and the comment content of the target frame.

The media rendering device retrieves media content that includes a set of filmed scenes and text information. The text information includes video description information and timing information. The video description information describes a filmed scene in the set of filmed scenes. The media rendering device further extracts the timing information to reproduce the video description information from the text information of the filmed scene. The media rendering device further controls the reproduction of the video description information in either a textual representation or in a textual and audio representation at a first-time interval indicated by the extracted timing information of the filmed scene.

A transcoder configured to transcode an inbound bitstream comprising an inbound content frame and an associated inbound metadata frame into an outbound bitstream comprising an outbound content frame and an associated outbound metadata frame is described. The inbound content frame is indicative of a signal encoded according to a first codec system and the outbound content frame is indicative of the signal encoded according to a second codec system. The transcoder is configured to identify an inbound block of metadata from the inbound metadata frame, the inbound block of metadata associated with an inbound descriptor indicative of one or more properties of metadata comprised within the inbound block of metadata, and to generate the outbound metadata frame from the inbound metadata frame based on the inbound descriptor.
