Techniques are disclosed herein that provide a TV receiver that supports a set of existing iTV standards and proprietary iTV implementations. Further, the TV receiver can be extended to support additional iTV standards and proprietary iTV implementations. A digital television data stream is received and processed by a client. The digital television data stream is analyzed to determine which interactive television format is present. A registry of interactive television virtual machines is searched to determine whether a virtual machine is registered for the interactive television format. Each of the interactive television virtual machines is adapted for one of the interactive television formats. If a virtual machine that matches the interactive television format is found, it is loaded and hosted. Hosting the virtual includes providing services to the virtual machine through common application programming interfaces (APIs) machine includes. Methods, systems, and media for transferring playback of media content are provided. In some implementations, the method comprises: receiving a request to initiate a mirroring session in which a tabbed window including a page having a plurality of media content items is rendered on a computing device and transmitted as a video stream to a display device that is in communication with the computing device over a local area network; encoding the video stream including the tabbed window and the plurality of media content items; transmitting the encoded video stream to the display device via the local area network; determining that a user of the tabbed window on the display device intends to view a media content item from the plurality of media content items on the page; inhibiting presentation of the media content item on the computing device; causing the media content item to be decoded and presented on the display device; detecting an event associated with presentation of the media content item on the display device; and, in response to detecting the event associated with presentation of the media content item on the display device, causing the mirroring session to resume.

In one aspect, a method includes identifying an upcoming content-modification opportunity on a channel, where the upcoming content-modification opportunity relates to a modifiable content-segment transmitted by a content-distribution system on the channel, and where the modifiable content-segment includes an overlay content portion and a non-overlay content portion. The method also includes responsive to identifying the upcoming content-modification opportunity on the channel, identifying a content-presentation device tuned to the channel. The method also includes determining location data associated with the overlay content portion. The method also includes transmitting, to the identified content-presentation device, the determined location data to facilitate the content-presentation device performing a content-modification operation in connection with the identified upcoming content-modification opportunity on the channel, where performing the content-modification operation involves replacing only the non-overlay content portion with supplemental content.

Disclosed are a logical channel number parsing method and a logical channel number parsing device. The method includes: acquiring an operator which provides program signal, and searching channels in sequence according to preset frequency points; acquiring channel information of a current frequency point, and extracting logical channel number data from the channel information, when searching channels according to each of the frequency points; and parsing the logical channel number data according to a prestored logical channel number configuration table corresponding to the operator, to obtain each of attribute parameters comprised in the logical channel number data. The present disclosure simplifies the parsing operation of the logical channel number.
Television broadcast system for generating augmented images
The invention relates to a television broadcast system comprising a number of television cameras (C1, C2); at least one production unit (12) which is configured to generate a series of production images from the camera images of the number of television cameras (C1, C2) and to issue said images as production signals (S3); a number of analysis modules (A1, A2) which are configured to analyse each individual camera image, to calculate camera-image metadata (M) and an associated camera-image hash value (H) for each camera image and to issue the camera-image metadata (M) and the camera-image hash value (H) for each camera image asynchronously; a synchronisation module (14) connected to the production unit (12) and the analysis modules (A1, A2) and configured to receive the production images from the production unit (12) as synchronously buffered images and to calculate, for each production image, an associated production image hash value (HR). The synchronisation module (14) is also configured to compare production image hash values (RH) and camera image hash values (H), to assign, on the basis of this comparison, the associated camera-image metadata (Mj) of a camera image as production-image metadata (MR) to a current production image (Ri), and to issue the production-image metadata (MR) as synchronously buffered images; a multiplication module (16) connected to the synchronisation module (14) and the production unit (12) and configured to receive the production-image metadata (MR) from the synchronisation module (14) as synchronously buffered images and to receive the production images from the production unit (12) as synchronously buffered images, the multiplication module also being configured: to compensate a time difference between a production image and the associated production-image metadata (MR); to change in the production image, on the basis of the production-image metadata (MR), at least one portion of the production image by means of an augmentation, thus producing an augmented production image; and to issue the augmented production image.

A method of predicting point cloud attribute coding includes receiving point cloud data comprising one or more candidate points and extracting one or more candidate attribute values for the one or more candidate points from the received point cloud data. The method further includes calculating a weighted median from the one or more extracted candidate attribute values and a weight factor, whereby the weight factor corresponds to a relative importance factor of a candidate vector associated with the extracted candidate attribute values. The method further includes assign one or more prediction indices corresponding to attribute data for video encoding to the candidate points in response to the calculation of the weighted median, wherein the prediction indices and processing the media content to encode the attribute data associated with the candidate points having the lowest prediction indices.

The invention also relates to a method for processing one or more media files, the method comprising: obtaining the one or more media files, processing the obtained one or more media files to obtain a track comprising encoded stereoscopic media data comprising first view frames and second view frames, each first view frame being associated with a second view frame, and processing the obtained one or more media files to obtain descriptive metadata based on which the view frame corresponding to a left view is identified.
