A method and a device for controlling the state of a device including means for transferring an audiovisual source and means for reproducing an audio signal, the device being connected to a television set by means of an HDMI connection in accordance with an HDMI specification version 2.0 or higher. The device is in an operating mode as an audiovisual source or for reproducing an audio signal coming from the HDMI connection. The device: receives a change command, goes into the mode of reproducing an audio signal coming from the HDMI connection if it is in the audiovisual source mode, checks whether an audio signal coming from the HDMI connection is present and, if so, reproduces the audio signal coming from the HDMI connection by the means for reproducing an audio signal.

A multimedia playing method includes obtaining, by a terminal, an identifier of a playback device, determining, by the terminal, a multimedia resource category based on a correspondence between the identifier and the multimedia resource category, playing, by the terminal, via the playback device, a multimedia resource corresponding to the category. An example device includes a memory configured to store a plurality of audio streams and an associated level of authorization for each of the plurality of audio streams. The device also includes one or more processors implemented in circuitry and communicatively coupled to the memory. The one or more processors are configured to select, based on the associated levels of authorization, a subset of the plurality of audio streams, the subset of the plurality of audio streams excluding at least one of the plurality of audio streams.

While an assistant-enabled device is playing back media content, a method includes receiving a contextual signal from an environment of the assistant-enabled device and executing an event recognition routine to determine whether the received contextual signal is indicative of an event that conflicts with the playback of the media content from the assistant-enabled device. When the event recognition routine determines that the received contextual signal is indicative of the event that conflicts with the playback of the media content, the method also includes adjusting content playback settings of the assistant-enabled device.

To ascertain whether a word or phrase is objectionable, the contextual information from surrounding words and the contextual information from detected objects and scenes in the video are used.
