SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HANDLING AUDIO DISRUPTIONS
20230308715 · 2023-09-28 ·

Systems and methods are provided herein for selectively replaying interrupted segments of media content that are important for understanding a storyline of the media content. In response to detecting noise in a media presentation environment where a current segment is being played, it is determined whether the current segment is important. Responsive to the determination that the current segment is important, a complexity score of the audio component of the current segment is determined and a replay threshold is determined based on the complexity score. Responsive to the determination that the detected noise level is greater than the replay threshold, the current segment is replayed from the beginning instead of continuing to play the media content.

Image display apparatus and method of controlling the same

Provided are an image display apparatus and a method of controlling the same. The image display apparatus enabling voice recognition includes: a first voice inputter which receives a user-side audio signal; an audio outputter which outputs an audio signal processed by the image display apparatus; a first voice recognizer which recognizes the user-side audio signal received through the first voice inputter; and a controller which decreases a volume of the audio signal output through the audio outputter to a predetermined level if a voice recognition start command is received.

Electronic apparatus and controlling method thereof

An electronic apparatus is provided. The electronic apparatus includes a memory configured to store computer executable instructions, an interface, a display, and a processor configured to, by executing the computer executable instructions control the display to display an image corresponding to a broadcasting content input through the interface, based on a mute interval being detected by analyzing an input signal, compare a signal before the mute interval with a signal after the mute interval and identify whether the signals before and after the mute interval are continuous, and identify an occurrence of a channel change event in which the broadcasting content is changed to another broadcasting content based on the identification.

Method and apparatus for reducing interference from content play in multi-device environment

Systems and methods for reducing interference between content play and video recording among multiple devices located proximate to each other. Microphones of devices recording video are muted, or content play is interrupted, according to the actions of a majority of nearby devices. For example, if most devices are recording video, content play may be interrupted to prevent the video from unintentionally recording unwanted sounds from play of the content. Conversely, if most devices are not recording video, only those devices which are may have their microphones muted. Actions to reduce interference may be taken according to the current behavior of a majority of proximate devices.

AUTOMATIC MEDIA CONTROL

Media can be automatically controlled. A media control service can be configured to detect changes in the active application on a computing device and, in response, mute, pause or otherwise control the audio of one or more non-active applications to thereby prevent overlapping of audio. The media control service may leverage a policy to customize such control for a particular user, use case or other scenario. The media control service may also leverage machine learning to adapt such control based on a user's interactions with the computing device.

Playback device control

Systems, methods, apparatus, and articles of manufacture to control audio playback devices are disclosed. An example first playback device includes a speaker driver, a processor, and a computer readable medium including a set of instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the first playback device to implement a method. The example method includes receiving, from a first audio information source, first audio information. The example method includes playing back the first audio information. The example method includes receiving, from a second audio information source, (i) a first message, and (ii) second audio information. Based on the received first message, the example method includes (i) determining that the first playback device and a second playback device are to playback the second audio information; (ii) stopping play back of the first audio information; (iii) playing back, via the speaker driver, the second audio information; and (iv) sending the second audio information to the second playback device.

Display apparatus and control method thereof

A display apparatus is provided. The display apparatus according to an embodiment includes a display, a memory configured to store UI pattern information, a communication interface comprising communication circuitry, and a processor configured to control the display apparatus to obtain identification information indicating a type of changed multimedia content from the memory based on UI pattern information obtained from the changed multimedia content based on an event that changes a multimedia content output through the display occurring, control the communication interface to: transmit the identification information and fingerprint obtained from the changed multimedia content to a server, and receive content information corresponding to the fingerprint obtained based on the identification information from the server.

An agent cooperation device includes: a sound output section that controls sound output in accordance with instructions from plural agents that are configured to receive an instruction regarding a predetermined service by voice dialogue; and a control section that, in a case in which a voice dialogue is provided with respect to one of the plural agents while another agent is playing music or an audiobook as a service, controls the sound output section so as to lower a volume of or stop playback that is being carried out by the other agent.

APPARATUS, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR AUDIO AND VIDEO FILTERING FOR ELECTRONIC USER DEVICES
20220014815 · 2022-01-13 ·

Apparatus, systems, and methods for audio and video filtering for electronic user devices are disclosed. An example apparatus includes at least one memory, instructions in the apparatus, and processor circuitry to execute instructions to detect a visual event based on image data, the visual event representative of an activity associated with a likelihood of noise, the image data associated with a video stream output by a camera associated with a user device, and in response to the detection of the visual event, apply an audio filter to a portion of an audio stream corresponding to the image data in the video stream.

Adjustments to video playing on a computer

Adjusting a video playing on a computer, which can begin with opening a multimedia file on a multimedia application. The multimedia file to be displayed on a graphic user interface of a screen of a computing device. A method and system may further include detecting with a video play supervisor a pause signal, the pause signal selected from the group consisting of a computing environment signal indicating that a window is opened on the graphic user interface overlying the running display of the video component, an external environment factor signal; and a change in audience signal. The video play supervisor may send a pause command from the video play supervisor to the multimedia application to suspend broadcast of the multi-media file.
