Methods and systems for condition mitigation
Methods and systems are described for condition mitigation. A computing device may display content. The computing device may determine that displaying and/or outputting the content may impact a person with a condition. The computing device may take an action to reduce an impact of the content on the person.
CONTENT STRUCTURE AWARE MULTIMEDIA STREAMING SERVICE FOR MOVIES, TV SHOWS AND MULTIMEDIA CONTENTS
Methods, apparatus and systems related to packaging a multimedia content for distribution are described. In one example aspect, a method includes receiving media files comprising video or audio data captured at a production stage and determining a hierarchical structure of the multimedia content based on production stage information of the multimedia content. The hierarchical structure indicates that the multimedia content comprises multiple scenes, each of which comprises multiple shots produced with corresponding devices and cast. The method also includes identifying characteristics associated with the individual scenes based on the production stage information, generating multiple copies of the multimedia content at different compression levels, and dividing each of the multiple copies of the multimedia content into segments based on the hierarchical structure. The compression levels and a length of a segment are adaptively adjusted based on the characteristics associated with the individual scenes.
STREAMING A VIDEO CHAT FROM A MOBILE DEVICE TO A DISPLAY DEVICE USING A ROTATING BASE
Provided herein are system, apparatus, device, method and/or computer program product embodiments, and/or combinations and sub-combinations thereof, for streaming a video chat from a mobile device on a display device. In a given embodiment, a first mobile device and second video device can communicate audio and video data to one another, via a video chat. The incoming audio and video data for the first mobile device can be streamed to and output by an external display device. The streaming request is generated in response to the first mobile device coupling with a rotating base, controlled by the first mobile device.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PROVIDING DYNAMIC CONTENT BASED ON USER PREFERENCES
Systems and methods are presented for providing of dynamic content based on user preferences, for example, identifying a consumer's preferences for a media asset and tailoring the media asset to the consumer's preferences to encourage the consumer to continue to consume the media asset. The system generates the media asset for consumption. The system identifies a media asset consumption profile based on the media asset and a viewer profile and identifies a second media asset that may be used to enhance to the first media asset. The system generates an enhanced media asset from the second media asset based on the viewer profile and provides the enhanced program for consumption. An enhanced media asset may include the video content of the first media asset and the audio and text content from the second media asset.
Method, apparatus and systems for audio decoding and encoding
An audio processing system (100) accepts an audio bitstream having one of a plurality of predefined audio frame rates. The system comprises a front-end component (110), which receives a variable number of quantized spectral components, corresponding to one audio frame in any of the predefined audio frame rates, and performs an inverse quantization according to predetermined, frequency-dependent quantization levels. The front-end component may be agnostic of the audio frame rate. The audio processing system further comprises a frequency-domain processing stage (120) and a sample rate converter (130), which provide a reconstructed audio signal sampled at a target sampling frequency independent of the audio frame rate. By its frame-rate adaptability, the system can be configured to operate frame-synchronously in parallel with a video processing system that accepts plural video frame rates.
Method of improving audio for a published video
A holistic solution for improving the quality of publicly available/published video by providing an improved audio. The owner of the published video or audio content within the published video can upload the improved audio to a network database where it is associated with a video feature in common with the publicly available video. The client consuming the video, can activate a novel application/module/browser extension on a client terminal to detect the video feature of a currently selected video to begin downloading the improved audio. After a significant portion of the audio has been downloaded the invention mutes the audio playback of the video on the client terminal at or about the same time as it begins playback of the audio content so as to minimize distortion from the transition between the original audio and the improved audio. Additional features including audio/video synchronization, selectable audio tracks, visual feedback, and monetization are disclosed.
System and method for synchronizing media output devices connected on a network
A media output device operates to receive audio and/or video data for a content item. The audio and/or video data can be communicated from another device over a network. The output device generates an audio or video output for the content item based on the audio or video data. While receiving the audio or video data, the output device determines an instance of time that is synchronized to an external clock reference. The output device also determines an output correction to perform based at least in part on the synchronized instance of time. The output device adjusts the output to include the output correction.
TRANSMISSION APPARATUS, TRANSMISSION METHOD, RECEPTION APPARATUS, AND RECEPTION METHOD
A compressed audio signal and a linear PCM signal are successfully simultaneously transmitted and reproduced. An audio signal continuous for each specified unit is transmitted to a reception side through a specified transmission line. The audio signal continuous for each specified unit is obtained by alternately arranging the audio signal in the specified unit, which includes a compressed audio signal, and the audio signal in the specified unit, which includes a linear PCM signal. For example, the specified unit is a subframe.
IMAGE DISPLAY APPARATUS AND IMAGE DISPLAYING METHOD
An image display apparatus and an image displaying method are provided. The image display apparatus includes a display; and a processor configured to parse information about a channel selected in response to a channel selection signal, determine whether to provide a plurality of services through the selected channel based on the parsed information, and, in response to the determining that the plurality of services are to be provided through the selected channel, obtain a plurality of service streams respectively corresponding to the plurality of services provided through the selected channel; and a decoder configured to decode one service stream from among the obtained plurality of service streams.
HTML5-based audio/video playing method and apparatus, and live audio/video streaming method and system
An Html5-based audio/video playing method includes: based on a playing scenario, downloading audio/video data under the playing scenario; performing format conversion on the audio/video data; and loading the audio/video data after format conversion into an Html5 player.
