Systems and methods for operating a messaging system are provided. An example method includes receiving a first authorization from a user to use a self-image of the user in a personalized video, receiving a second authorization from the user to use a further self-image of a further user in the personalized video, sending, after the first and second authorizations have been received, the personalized video including at least part of the self-image of the user, at least part of the further self-image of the further user, and at least part of a stock video to the further user, and receiving an indication of whether the further user has authorized using the further self-image in the personalized video.

Providing television broadcasts over a managed network and interactive content over an unmanaged network to a client device

A client device receives a broadcast content signal containing an interactive identifier over a managed network at a client device. The interactive identifier may be a trigger that is included in a header or embedded within the digital video data. The trigger may have a temporal component, wherein the trigger can expire after a certain period of time. In response to identification of the trigger, the client device sends a user request for interactive content over an unmanaged network. For example, the managed network may be a one-way satellite television network, IP-television network or cable television network and the unmanaged network may be the Internet. The client device switches between receiving data from the managed network to receiving data from the unmanaged network.

Various embodiments include systems and methods for providing an immersive three-dimensional group session. Various embodiments include methods and devices for signaling a description of a scene with media components potentially coming from different parties. In various aspects, a scene graph may be signaled through a session description protocol (SDP) during a session initiation protocol (SIP) session setup. In various embodiments, the scene graph may include respective graphical output nodes assigned to be controlled by each of the plurality of participant computing devices in an immersive three-dimensional group session.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR VIDEO/MULTIMEDIA RENDERING, COMPOSITION, AND USER-INTERACTIVITY
20170287525 · 2017-10-05 · ·

An interactive video/multimedia application (IVM application) may specify one or more media assets for playback. The IVM application may define the rendering, composition, and interactivity of one or more the assets, such as video. Video multimedia application data (IVMA data may) be used to define the behavior of the IVM application. The IVMA data may be embodied as a standalone file in a text or binary, compressed format. Alternatively, the IVMA data may be embedded within other media content. A video asset used in the IVM application may include embedded, content-aware metadata that is tightly coupled to the asset. The IVM application may reference the content-aware metadata embedded within the asset to define the rendering and composition of application display elements and user-interactivity features. The interactive video/multimedia application (defined by the video and multimedia application data) may be presented to a viewer in a player application.

INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND METHOD

The present disclosure relates to information processing apparatus and method that allow robustness of content reproduction to be improved.

Metadata regarding content is generated, the content expressing a three-dimensional object in a three-dimensional space and enabling a line-of-sight direction and a view-point position to be freely set at a time of reproduction, and the metadata including information enabling a bit rate to be selected at a time of distribution of the content. Metadata that includes, for example, as the above-described information, access information for a control file controlling reproduction of the content, is generated. The present disclosure may be applied to, for example, an image processing apparatus, an image encoding apparatus, or an image decoding apparatus.

BULLET SCREEN INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, CLIENT, SERVICE PLATFORM AND STORAGE MEDIUM

Disclosed is a bullet screen information processing method, a client and a service platform. In the method, bullet screen information sent by a service platform is received, the bullet screen information is formed on the basis of watching feedback information sent by a first client or a second client, and the watching feedback information is formed when a user watches first multimedia information; and the bullet screen information is dynamically displayed in a first output area in which the first client outputs the first multimedia information according to a predetermined strategy.

Method and video device for accessing information

A method and video device are disclosed for accessing information. In an embodiment of the present invention, part of data included in a title, being played, read from a storage medium or extracted from a broadcast signal is extracted and sent to a server over a network, and information corresponding to the part of the data (i.e., information related to the data and complete data of the data) is received from the server and played. Rather than the part of the data, information related to a position of the data, (e.g. a time point at which the playing of the data starts within the title or a radial position or a physical address at which the data is located in the storage medium) may be sent. The data may be data that forms audio, a frame-shaped video clip or a frame-shaped picture included in the title.

RENDERING A MODELED SCENE

Techniques for rendering a scene are disclosed. In some embodiments, a scene definition is modified to generate a modified scene definition based at least in part on a current state of a local database at a device. The modified scene definition is constrained to include references to objects locally available in the local database, and at least one object referenced in the scene definition is substituted with a different object in the modified scene definition that is locally available in the local database. The scene is rendered at the device according to the modified scene definition.

COVER IMAGE DETERMINING METHOD AND APPARATUS, AND DEVICE

Embodiments of this application provide a cover image determining method and apparatus, and a device. The method may include: extracting a plurality of key frames from a video; determining at least one first image in the plurality of key frames, where a correlation between a principal object included in the first image and the video is greater than or equal to a preset threshold; obtaining an object type of a principal object in each first image, where the object type is one of the following: a character type, an item type, a landscape type, or a scene type; and determining a cover image of the video based on the at least one first image and the object type of the principal object in each first image. In this way, quality of the determined cover image is improved.
