Brewing system
A cold brewing coffee device that produces coffee without any suspended solids in the product. The devices uses a false bottom in the initial tank to hold the coffee beans and water is pumped between the initial tank and a second tank. Using an inverted P trap in the piping allow for reduced suspended solids in the final product. The end product is a high quality cold brewed beverage that is defined by the beverages clarity and lack of visible suspended solids, wherein the resulting product has a distinct look compared to other brewed beverages (i.e. producing a product that is cleaner than competing products without the need for a filter).
Touchless Beverage Dispensing Valve
A touchless beverage dispensing valve may include a downspout assembly having a body having walls with a slot therein, a channel, an upper and a lower opening, with the slot in the channel between the upper and lower openings. The downspout assembly may include a lateral member extending laterally from the downspout assembly and engaging the wall adjacent the slot. A pinch member may be partly enclosed within the lateral member and dimensioned to move partially through the slot. A touchless push bar and the pinch member may move the pinch member in and out of the slot. A coil spring may engage the lateral member and the pinch arm urging the pinch arm at least partially through the slot of the body. A flexible insert may be dimensioned to tightly fit against the walls of the channel of the body, the insert having an open top and an open bottom.
Beverage dispensing systems and methods
Various beverage preparation systems and methods are disclosed. The beverage preparation system can include a dispensing unit configured to receive beverage, such as a shot of espresso, from a beverage preparation machine. The dispensing unit can include a dispensing unit with a first end and a second end. The dispensing unit can be rotatable between an upright position and an inverted position. The dispensing unit can be configured to receive the beverage through the second end when the dispensing unit is in the upright position, and can be configured to receive cleansing fluid through the second end when the dispensing unit is in the inverted position. In some embodiments, when the dispensing unit is in an intermediate position between the upright and inverted positions, the dispensing unit is configured to dispense the beverage out of the first end and into a cup or other vessel.
Temperature control for extracted beverages, including coffee, via controlled vacuum, and associated systems
Temperature control for extracted beverages, including coffee, via controlled vacuum, and associated systems and methods are shown. A representative system includes a brew chamber, a beverage chamber in fluid communication with the brew chamber, a vacuum source in fluid communication with the beverage chamber, and a flow control device positioned to vary the force applied by the vacuum chamber on the brew chamber via the beverage chamber.
Multiple compartment decanter for brewer having multiple function faucet handles
A multiple compartment decanter for tank brewer having a multiple function faucet handle is disclosed having a decanter having a top and a compartment for receiving a brewed beverage through the top, the tank having a faucet assembly having a first faucet, a second faucet, and a center faucet mechanism with the first faucet and the second faucet each having a handle, respectively, which may be moved to lift an internal faucet seat which allows liquid within the compartment to be drained or dispensed from the decanter.
BEVERAGE BREWING ASSEMBLY FOR A REFRIGERATOR APPLIANCE
A brewing assembly for a refrigerator appliance includes a dispensing assembly for selectively dispensing a flow of water within a chilled chamber of the refrigerator appliance. A pitcher is removably positioned below the dispensing assembly and includes an upper reservoir for receiving, storing, and slowly distributing the flow of water into a brew module positioned below the upper reservoir and comprising a plurality of canisters for receiving brewing contents and the flow of water to create a brewed beverage. A lower reservoir is positioned below the brew module for receiving the brewed beverage from the plurality of canisters.
Beverage Maker And Method For Determining Hot Water Amounts Output By A Beverage Maker And/Or Used In Same For Beverage Preparation
The present invention relates to a beverage maker that comprises a heating device for heating water, a cold water inflow, a first hot water outlet, at least one second hot water outlet, a cold water path connecting the cold water inflow to the heating device, a first hot water path connecting the heating device to the first hot water outlet, at least one second hot water path connecting the heating device to the at least one second hot water outlet, a conveying device for conveying water, a first flow meter that is arranged in the cold water path or in the first hot water path, and at least one second flow meter that is arranged in the at least one second hot water path. The present invention additionally relates to a method of determining hot water amounts dispensed by a beverage maker and/or hot water amounts used in same for beverage preparation.
