Video processing method, electronic device, and storage medium

Provided are a video processing method, an electronic device, and a storage medium. The method is applied to an electronic device, and includes: acquiring decoding information when decoding a video file; and determining whether the decoding information is abnormal. The method further includes: in response to detecting the decoding information is abnormal, adding an identifier of the video file into a preset blacklist; and in response to detecting the decoding information is normal, adding the identifier of the video file into a preset whitelist, and performing display enhancement processing on the video file.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS TO METER MEDIA CONTENT PRESENTED ON A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION DEVICE

An example apparatus to monitor media that is presented via a mobile device includes: an application monitor to determine when media presentation software is being executed by the mobile device; and a metering information collector to collect at least one of a signature or a code of the media presented by the media presentation software based on the media presentation software being executed by the mobile device.

System and method for interactive set top box setup

A system and method provide for installation and setup of a set-top box (STB) in a Digital TV network includes a mobile device running a mobile application, an operator application, and a display configured to display video from the STB. A status of the STB is determined and encoded into an optically scannable graphic displayed by the display. The optically scannable graphic is scanned with an optical device in communication with the mobile device and the status of the STB is decoded. The status of the STB is transmitted to the operator application compared with an acceptance criteria.

Method and apparatus for automatic HLS bitrate adaptation

A media player system is provided for receiving and processing a media program that uses a time interval interval t.sub.D required to decode N.sub.D frames of the media program segment. The media system receives the requested media program segment, processes the segment and determines if the throughput of the media program differs from the desired presentation throughput by a tolerance amount. Both decoding and rendering performance are determined and used to determine presentation throughput, and to determine if heavier or lighter variants of the media program should be requested for subsequent media program segments.

Dynamic client buffering and usage of received video frames for cloud gaming

A method is disclosed including setting, at a server, a server VSYNC signal to a server VSYNC frequency defining a plurality of frame periods. The server VSYNC signal corresponding to generation of a plurality of video frames at the server during the plurality of frame periods. The method including setting, at a client, a client VSYNC signal to a client VSYNC frequency. The method including sending a plurality of compressed video frames based on the plurality of video frames from the server to the client over a network using the server VSYNC signal. The method including decoding and displaying, at the client, the plurality of compressed video frames. The method including analyzing the timing of one or more client operations to set the amount of frame buffering used by the client, as the client receives the plurality of compressed video frames.

THREAT CONTROL AND PREVENTION FOR ANDROID SYSTEMS

A method is provided that determines whether to allow an application (app) for use or restrict the app on a set top box (STB). The method includes the steps of measuring at the STB, one or more resources used by the app; comparing at the STB, one or more thresholds set by an operator; and determining if the one or more resources used by the app exceed one or more thresholds set by the operator. Another method is provided that monitors applications (apps) that are installed a set top box (STB) for illegal or harmful activity by a policy manager. This method includes downloading and copying an app from an external source; installing or uninstalling the app into an application folder; providing a notification informing the policy manager of the installing or uninstalling of the app; and evaluating the app be installed or uninstalled.

MEDIA STREAMING DEVICE AND MEDIA STREAMING METHOD
20230216904 · 2023-07-06 ·

A media streaming device includes a power manager, a stream processor, and a voltage detector. The power manager receives a power signal from the media playback device to supply power to the stream processor. The stream processor provides media stream to the media playback device for playback. The voltage detector is electrically coupled to the stream processor and captures at least a part of the power supply current to the stream processor. The stream processor is configured to determine whether the power supply voltage remains stable. When the supply voltage remains stable, the stream processor operates in a first mode to provide media stream. When the power supply voltage is unstable, the stream processor operates in a second mode to provide media stream, and the power consumption of the stream processor in the second mode is lower than the power consumption in the first mode.

Display apparatus and method of controlling thereof

A display apparatus including a communication module comprising circuitry; a display; a motor configured to rotate the display; a user input module; a memory storing at least one instruction; and a processor in communication with the communication module, the display, the motor, the user input module, and the memory to control the display apparatus. The processor, upon execution of the stored at least one instruction, is configured to control the display to display a first screen based on the display being placed in a first orientation, and based on a first user command being input through the user input module while the first screen is displayed, control the display to display at least one second screen having a history of being displayed on the display and information on the display orientation of the at least one second screen being displayed.

Power aware adaptation for video streaming

Power aware adaptation for a power aware video streaming system may be based on the complexity information conveyed in different ways. A complexity level of a data stream, such as a video data stream, may be selected as a function of a remaining battery power of a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) and on a state set of a plurality of state sets that may be stored and/or managed by the WTRU. These state sets may correspond to, for example, different content sources and/or different complexity estimation algorithms and may be used to select the complexity level of the data stream. The data stream may then be received at the selected complexity level. The complexity level and/or a bitrate of the data stream may be adapted to accommodate, for example, the remaining battery power and/or other circumstances. The adaptation may be customized according to the objectives of use cases.

Example techniques related to battery-powered playback devices. In an example, a first battery-powered playback device receives audio content from a network device and forwards the audio content to a second playback device for synchronous playback of the audio content with the second playback device, plays back the audio content, detects that a battery level of a battery of the first playback device has fallen below a predefined threshold, and ceases the forwarding of the audio content after the battery level of the battery of the first playback device has fallen below the predefined threshold. After the battery level of the first playback device has fallen below the predefined threshold, the second playback device receives the audio content from the network device, forwards the audio content to the first playback device for synchronous playback with the first playback device, and plays back the audio content in synchrony with the first playback device.
