Method for managing communication between a control device and a reading terminal
A method for managing communication between a control device, called a first control device, and a reading terminal that are able to communicate with one another via a first communication link. The first control device is able to communicate with the reading terminal when a communication session is active on the first communication link. The reading terminal is connected, via a second communication link, to a rendering device having a plurality of operating states and able to render content depending on its operating state. The method of managing includes the following steps in the reading terminal: obtaining an item of data representative of a modification of the operating state of the rendering device, and a step of requesting modification of the state of the session between the reading device and the first control device on the basis of the obtained item of data.

The present disclosure is directed to voice control of a video playback system. In an aspect, a device, such as an audio device (e.g., a soundbar) includes one or more speakers, one or more microphones, and one or more processors. The device also includes a connection to a display device (e.g., a television), where the speakers are configured to output audio related to video content displayed by the display device (such as playing audio for the video of a connected television). The device also includes one or more processors configured to, in response to the one or more microphones receiving a voice command, perform an action to cause a change in the video content displayed by the display device.
Electronic device and power control method of electronic device
An electronic device and a power control method of an electronic device are provided. The electronic device may include: a communication circuit including a first circuit configured to perform first communication and a second circuit configured to perform second communication; a processor electrically connected to the communication circuit; and a memory electrically connected to the processor, wherein, the memory stores instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to perform operations comprising: controlling the first circuit to operate according to a first power control mode associated with the first communication, and controlling the second circuit to operate according to a second power control mode associated with the second communication when the first communication and the second communication are concurrently performed through the first circuit and the second circuit; identifying a first sleep period during which the first circuit operates in a sleep mode according to the first power control mode, and a second sleep period during which the second circuit operates in the sleep mode according to the second power control mode; and controlling the communication circuit to operate in a deep sleep mode in which the communication circuit operates with power that is less than or equal to a predetermined power in a period where the first sleep period and the second sleep period coincide.
DEVICE INTERACTION METHOD BASED ON ATTENTION DIRECTION
A device interaction method based on an attention direction is provided. The method includes: capturing an input image of a target; determining a plurality of facial features of the target based on the input image; determining an attention angle of the target relative to a reference direction according to the facial features; determining an angle range threshold corresponding to a first display screen relative to the reference direction according to information carrying a distance between the target and the first display screen; determining whether the attention angle matches the angle range threshold; and when the attention angle matches the angle range threshold, determining that an attention direction of the target is directed toward the first display screen and performing a first action, and when the attention angle fails to match the angle range threshold, determining that the attention direction is directed toward a second display screen and performing a second action.
Providing energy-efficient features using human presence detection
Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for the detection of human presence in an energy efficient manner using a plurality of sensors such as those of a battery-powered device such as a television remote, and a device with a processor, such as a television. Data gathered from an initial television WiFi radio scan, or an initial low-powered detection scan from the television remote, may be analyzed by the processor to determine a potential presence of one or more humans are present proximate to the device. If there is such a potential presence, the device remote can enter a full-powered detection mode to accurately determine the presence or absence of one or more humans, and take further actions.
SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND MEDIA FOR PROVIDING AN ENHANCED REMOTE CONTROL THAT SYNCHRONIZES WITH MEDIA CONTENT PRESENTATION
Systems, methods, and media for providing an enhanced remote control that synchronizes with media content presentation are provided. In some embodiments, the method for presenting and inhibiting media content includes: receiving, using a hardware processor, a request to execute a media application for presenting media content on a media device, wherein the media application is associated with user preference settings that indicate a threshold amount of time for viewing media content and wherein the media device is controlled by a remote control device; causing, using the hardware processor, presentation of a media content item to begin; determining, using the hardware processor, whether the timing parameter for viewing media content from the user preference settings has been met; and, in response to determining that the timing parameter for viewing media content has been met, causing, using the hardware processor, the media application executing on the media device to end the presentation of the media content item and transmitting, using the hardware processor, a message to the remote control that disables the remote control from controlling the media device.
Method and system for controlling a low power mode for external devices
A system and method of entering a low power mode includes an external tuner module having a first external tuner and a receiving device having a first receiving tuner. The receiving device has a controller determining an unused tuner from one of the first external tuner or first receiving tuner and controls entering a low power mode at the unused tuner.
WIRELESS POWER TRANSFER FOR AUDIO PLAYBACK DEVICES
Disclosed herein are devices (e.g., audio playback devices) configured to transmit and/or receive wireless power. Wireless power can be transferred using mid-range or long-range techniques, such as electromagnetic radiation (e.g., lasers, microwaves) or electromagnetic coupling (e.g., inductive coupling, capacitive coupling). Device performance and/or power transmission may be modified dynamically based on wireless power levels, user behavior, the behavior of other devices, device grouping, or other parameters.
