In one embodiment, a method selects a first asset in a first ordering of assets and simulates a playout of the first asset based on bandwidth values at a set of times. The playout takes a time period to playout based on the set of bandwidth values. A new ordering of the assets is received based on the simulated playout of the first asset and the time period. The method continues to select a new asset in the new ordering of the assets, simulate the playout of the new asset, and receive a new ordering of the assets until a schedule of asset delivery is generated. Then, the schedule of asset delivery is output where the schedule of asset delivery is used by a receiver to determine when to power up to receive a scheduled delivery of an asset and power down when no asset is scheduled for delivery.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a device waking-up method. The device waking-up method includes: a Bluetooth module receives data to be processed sent by a first Bluetooth peripheral when a protocol stack module is in a dormant state, where the Bluetooth module stores information, sent by the protocol stack module before entering the dormant state, of a second Bluetooth peripheral which successfully performs Bluetooth pairing with the Bluetooth module; and the Bluetooth module wakes up a device according to the data to be processed and the information of the second Bluetooth peripheral.

A relay device or a connection cable for relaying a video signal from a transmission device to a reception device includes a control unit for detecting whether the received video signal is an AC signal output or a DC signal output, and a current pulling unit for pulling a predetermined current from the received video signal. If the received video signal is an AC signal output, the control unit is configured to control the current pulling unit to pull the predetermined current. If the received video signal is a DC signal output, the control unit is configured to control the current pulling unit to stop the pulling of current, and to transfer the video signal from the transmission device to the reception device.

For example, an apparatus may include a video encoder configured to encode video data into a parallel plurality of encoded video streams, the parallel plurality of encoded video streams including the video data encoded according to a respective plurality of different video bitrates; a selector configured to select, based on one or more parameters corresponding to a condition of a wireless communication link, a selected encoded video stream from the parallel plurality of encoded video streams; and a radio to transmit the selected encoded video stream over the wireless communication link.

An example embodiment operates by receiving sensor data detected by a sensing device and relating to a multimedia switching event. The example embodiment further operates by determining that sensor data detected by a sensing device corresponds to a multimedia switching action. In response, the example embodiment operates by generating a multimedia switching actuation signal that instructs an overriding multimedia device to switch its output from the first multimedia signal to the second multimedia signal. Subsequently, the example embodiment operates by transmitting the multimedia switching actuation signal to the overriding multimedia device.

The present invention provides a control method applied to an electronic device is disclosed, wherein the electronic device includes a processor and a wireless network module, and the control method includes the steps of: generating a determination result by determining if the wireless network module needs to transmit a packet; and when the determination result indicates that the wireless network module needs to transmit the packet, reducing a frequency of a clock signal used by the processor during a packet transmission.

A mobile device can be used to control a computing device different from the mobile device. The mobile device includes a processor configured to receive user input through a graphical user interface (GUI) of the mobile device. The processor can be configured to generate the GUI after detecting a magnetic field generated by a wireless power transmitter. A method for automatically putting on standby an audio/video decoding system, including: obtaining information representing a program currently being broadcast by the system, referred to as the target program; performing a search for programs similar to the target program in accordance with at least one similarity criterion predefined in a database of information representing programs previously broadcast by the system, the broadcasting having been interrupted by a standby; determining a duration-of-inactivity threshold according to the number of programs similar to the target program; sending a notification intended for a user advising him of the imminent standby of the system if no interaction is noted between the user and system during a period equal to the duration-of-inactivity threshold determined after the end of the target program; and putting the system on standby if no interaction is noted between the user and system during a predefined period after sending of the notification.
