Service based power management in a network

Power management techniques for a network device providing services to other network devices. In one embodiment, a first device communicates requests for access to and release of a resource (such as a media serving service) hosted by a second device. Power management functionality in the second device selectively controls power to the resource based, at least in part, on such requests. For example, a resource may be placed in an inactive state following receipt of a request for release of the resource. Access to the resource may be provided through a network interface that is separately activated or deactivated by the power management functionality. In further embodiments, information relating to the state of the resource and/or network interface is provided by a proxy device.

ELECTRONIC APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

Disclosed are a display apparatus and a method of controlling the display apparatus. The display apparatus includes: a signal receiver configured to receive a broadcasting signal; a display configured to display an image based on the received broadcasting signal; a sound receiver configured to receive a sound spoken by a user; a first sound recognizer configured to be supplied with power when the display apparatus is in a standby mode, and determine whether the received sound is a reserved word candidate having a high probability of corresponding to a reserved word; a second sound recognizer configured to be supplied with power when the received sound is determined as the reserved word candidate and to determine whether the received sound is the reserved word; and a controller configured to control the preset operation to be performed when the received sound is determined as the reserved word.

DETERMINING STATE SIGNATURES FOR CONSUMER ELECTRONIC DEVICES COUPLED TO AN AUDIO/VIDEO SWITCH

Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described for automatically determining a state signature for consumer electronic device(s) coupled to a switching device and/or other devices communicatively coupled to the consumer electronic device(s). The state signature is indicative of functional state(s) in which the consumer electronic device(s) are in. Such states include a power state, a proximity state, a communication state, and/or an operational state of the consumer electronic device(s). Based on the state signature(s), the switching device may infer which of the consumer electronic device(s) the user would like to use (or is using) and cause action(s) to be performed. Such actions include automatically switching to the AV port(s) to which such consumer electronic device(s) are connected, transmitting command(s) to such consumer electronic device(s), transmitting a notification message to such consumer electronic device(s), etc.

Set-top box device capable of providing electrical power to an antenna

A set-top box device capable of providing electrical power to an antenna includes an insulation housing, a printed circuit board, a metal portion, and a conductive locking member. The insulation housing has at least one lateral arranged thereon a through hole portion. The printed circuit board is arranged in the insulation housing and includes a power supply module. The metal portion is arranged on the printed circuit board and includes a locking hole corresponding the through hole portion. The conductive locking member passes through the locking hole, the through hole portion, a conductive end portion of the power supply line, and the metal portion. The power supply module feeds a current into the antenna through a connection of the metal portion, the conductive locking member, and the conductive end portion, and the current flows to a ground portion of the signal line thereby forming a power supply loop.

METHOD FOR CONTROLLING VIDEO PLAYING, COMPUTER DEVICE AND STORAGE MEDIUM THEREOF
20220060607 · 2022-02-24 ·

The present disclosure relates to a method for controlling video playing, a computer device and a storage medium thereof. The method includes: monitoring a state of a current application process in response to an application playing a video; obtaining the state of the current application process comprising a state with a trigger event and a state without a trigger event; dynamically adjusting a signal reception frequency of the application and receiving a screen refresh synchronization signal distributed by a hardware layer according to the signal reception frequency in response to detecting no trigger event in the current application process; resuming the application to receive the screen refresh synchronization signal distributed by the hardware layer at an original frequency in response to detecting a trigger event in the current application process; and triggering a main thread to refresh a current video screen according to the received screen refresh synchronization signal.
