Methods and apparatus to validate and restore machine configurations
Methods and apparatus to validate and restore machine configurations are disclosed herein. An example apparatus includes a context identifier to obtain first context information for a first set of configuration update events occurring on a computing device, a guest agent interface to transmit the first set of configuration update events to a security manager for generation of a policy, the policy including allowable configuration update events and responses to unallowable configuration update events, an event comparator to compare second context information of a subsequent configuration update event obtained by the context identifier to the policy received from the security manager, and an event handler to determine, when the subsequent configuration update event is not included in the policy, that the subsequent configuration update event is to be transmitted to the security manager for generation of an updated policy.
MULTI-MEDIA REDIRECTION FOR MEDIA APPLICATIONS
A computer system is provided that includes at least one processor configured to execute a host virtual machine configured to host a session with at least one client computer device. The host virtual machine includes an operating system having a multi-media framework for rendering media content. The at least one processor is further configured to execute a media application configured to access media content from a media source, process encoded media content from the media application using the multi-media framework, and execute a multi-media redirection module configured to intercept the encoded media content from being processed by a decoding module of the multi-media framework. The multi-media redirection module is configured to redirect the encoded media content to the at least one client computer device.
WEB BROWSER MULTI-MEDIA REDIRECTION
A computer system is provided that includes at least one processor configured to execute a host virtual machine configured to host a session with at least one client computer device. The at least one processor is further configured to execute a web browser application configured to access media content from a remote media source, receive encoded media content from the remote media source in a media container format, and execute a multi-media redirection module configured to intercept the encoded media content from being processed by a decoding module of the web browser application. The multi-media redirection module is configured to redirect the encoded media content to the at least one client computer device.
Centralized architecture for in-vehicle entertainment systems
In-vehicle entertainment (IVE) systems can have a centralized architecture to improve heat dissipation characteristics and weight and/or size of the IVE systems. A centralized system for providing in-vehicle entertainment to passengers on a commercial passenger vehicle includes a printed circuit board (PCB) in a housing locatable in a structure in the commercial passenger vehicle and a plurality of display panels and microcontrollers located in a rear portion of the structure. Each microcontroller is communicably connected to one display panel and the PCB. The PCB includes a processor configured to decode audio and/or video content and to operate a plurality of virtual machines that correspond to and perform operations such as playback functionality related to the plurality of display panels.
Method for the execution and processing of data, corresponding device and computer program
A method for executing a user application is disclosed. The method is implemented within a communications terminal of the type having a trusted environment. The trusted environment has a secured storage space and a secured applications execution module. The method has: a step of reception, within the trusted environment, of an instruction for launching a user application; a step of transmission, to a server, of a request for executing said user application; a step of reception, from the server, by a video-rendering application that is executed within the trusted environment, of a video stream resulting from the execution, on the server, of said user application; and a step for displaying said video stream on a screen of said communications terminal accessible from said trusted environment.

DISPLAY APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE
A display apparatus for a vehicle is disclosed. The display apparatus includes a first display and a second display located in a vehicle; a signal processing device including a processor configured to perform signal processing for the first display and the second display; a third display located in the vehicle; and a second signal processing device including a second processor configured to perform signal processing for a third display, wherein, in case in which data is transmitted from the signal processing device to the second signal processing device, a data transmission method is changed based on the type of data. Consequently, transmission efficiency may increase in case in which data is transmitted between a plurality of signal processing devices in a vehicle.
Multiple Virtual Machines in a Mobile Virtualization Platform
Systems and methods are described for embodiments of a mobile virtualization platform (MVP) that may be embedded in an end user mobile device or comprise part of the firmware loaded on the device. The MVP may implement a thin layer of software embedded on the device to decouple applications and data from the underlying hardware, thus enabling the device to concurrently run multiple operating systems. Furthermore, the MVP may enable applications to run concurrently per each base band.
