The present invention relates to an image display device. The image display device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a display; an interface to exchange data with an external server; and a controller to execute a web browser according to a web screen display input, to control a first webpage to be displayed on the display based on data received from a server, and when a first link item in the first webpage is selected, to control the first webpage to be displayed in a first area and a second webpage corresponding to the first link item to be displayed in a second area adjacent to the first area. Thereby, it is possible to display a plurality of webpages on a single screen.

A display device includes a display for displaying at least one piece of content, a user input interface for receiving a signal from a remote control device, and a controller for controlling operation of the display device. The controller performs control to display a video of first content in an overall area of a first layer of a screen, to display a first on screen display (OSD) window having predetermined first transparency in a first area of a second layer of the screen upon receiving a first OSD window output request signal, and to change the first transparency to predetermined second transparency when a pointer is located in the first area of the second layer of the screen.

Adaptively adjusting the layout of a video conference includes receiving, at a first video conference endpoint, a video stream from a second video conference endpoint. Activity in an environment of the first video conference endpoint or an environment of the second video conference endpoint is detected with at least one physical activity sensor. Based on the detected activity, a presentation of the video stream at the first video conference endpoint is dynamically adjusted.

Disclosed herein is a system for providing a low-latency transmission between a client and a server. The client may be a thin client that leverages a codec to receive data transmissions from the server over a dedicated connection and need not require significant processing power. The client-server system has additional capabilities for reducing latency, including providing a view port for viewing portions of documents in a buffer cache and providing a method for blending image content by applying an alpha coefficient to separated red, blue, and green image components.

A display system has a first tablet terminal, a second tablet terminal, and a projector capable of communicating with the first tablet terminal and the second tablet terminal via the communication network. The projector requests transmission of first data to the first tablet terminal, and at the same time requests transmission of second data to the second tablet terminal. A method for providing a search service and a display apparatus applying the same are provided. According to the search service providing method, a search window for doing an Internet search is displayed on a partial area of the screen that displays an image. The search window can be converted into an image display window in response to receiving a specific manipulation input by a user, thereby allowing the user to use the search service while converting between the use of the search window and video watching.

A broadcast image output device includes: a reception unit that receives a broadcast; a communication unit that communicates with the download server; an output that outputs each of home screens; a memory unit that holds the home screens; and a control unit that selects one of the home screens and causes the output unit to output the selected home screen as an initial screen to be displayed after power is turned ON. The control unit performs download processing for a new home screen via the communication unit, causes the memory unit to hold home-related information, and causes the output unit to output the new home screen generated based on the home-related information as the initial screen.

A wireless device supporting Wi-Fi Direct service includes: a display; a communication unit; and a controller configured to cause: transmitting resolution information including a plurality of resolutions that are supported by the wireless device to a second wireless device; receiving an entire image including a first image and a second image from the second wireless device if a resolution of the first image is not one of the plurality of resolutions; displaying the first image by removing the second image from the received entire image when the entire image is received; and receiving the first image from the second wireless device without the second image if the resolution of the first image is included in the resolution information, the second image being an image that is added to the first image such that a resolution of the received entire image corresponds to one of the plurality of resolutions.

Systems and methods are provided for presenting branding elements with electronic content. In one implementation, a method is provided that includes receiving, from a user device, a request that identifies a segment of electronic content and that contains information specifying a display configuration of the user device. The method further includes selecting first metadata including information defining how at least one branding element is to be presented based on the display configuration of the user device, and selecting second metadata for the requested segment of electronic content, the second metadata including information related to presenting the requested segment of electronic content. Additionally, the method includes instructing the user device to generate a presentation based on the selected first metadata and the selected second metadata, the presentation including the requested segment of electronic content and the at least one branding element.
