A method and a system are disclosed for managing a brewing process in which a solution is produced by mixing a solvent with a solute and a beverage is extracted from the solution. The system includes a temperature sensor device for sensing a temperature change per unit time of the solvent to create temperature information; a first measurement device for sensing a weight increase per unit time of the beverage to create first weight information while counting the time elapsed in the brewing process to create timing information; and a computing device comparing preset standard-state information with the temperature, first weight and timing information. A warning message is displayed on the computing device to remind a brewing operator to stop brewing the beverage when any of the temperature, first weight and timing information created at a specific unit time does not match the standard-state information of the same unit time.

Cooking system power management

A cooking environment is described for allocating power between multiple cooking systems and providing a calculated amount of energy to a cooking system. The cooking systems can each include a receptacle and a heating/cooling element to heat a product within the receptacle. A controller can receive requests for power from the cooking systems. Based on the requests for power, the controller allocates an amount of time within a time period in which the heating/cooling elements of each cooking system receive electrical energy. The controller can also allocate specific intervals within the time period in which the heating/cooling elements receive electrical energy.

An apparatus and method for brewing coffee of higher quality and better taste than any apparatus and method currently available, while also enabling users to utilize less coffee grounds per brewing cycle, thereby achieving significant cost savings for users. A basket that houses a packet of coffee grounds is housed within a carafe that stores water. The basket is fabricated so that water may enter therein and exit therefrom, and the packet of coffee grounds enables water and natural coffee oils to penetrate the packet, but does not allow coffee grounds to escape the packet. The carafe is filled with water that is gradually heated from at or around tap temperature to approximately boiling. While the water in the chamber is heated, the basket is agitated. This causes the gradually heating water to enter the basket and agitate the packet, thereby extracting natural coffee oil from the grounds stored within the packet, which creates brewed coffee. The entire brewing process may be controlled by electronic controlling means.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ENCAPSULATED BEVERAGE PREPARATION AND BREWING

A brewing process for operating a brewing apparatus, the process comprising the steps of: providing a data set corresponding to a selected recipe; said data set including operating values for any one or a combination of water temperature data, flow rate data and pressure data; commencing the brewing process; adjusting the temperature, flow rate or pressure of the machine so as to correspond with the data set.
