Transmission method, reception method, transmission device, and reception device
According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a transmission method for enabling transmission of content using a broadcast and a communication channel includes: transmitting playback control information and service information using at least the broadcast wave, the service information being information for playing back content transmission using the broadcast and content transmission using the communication channel when the content is transmitted using the broadcast and the communication channel. The service information includes attribute information indicating that the first content data and the second content data constitute the content and location information that indicates a location for acquiring meta-information on playback control of the second content. The playback control information includes indexes of a relationship between the first content data and the second content data.
Providing synchronous content and supplemental experiences
Methods, systems, computer readable media, and apparatuses for providing synchronous supplemental experiences are presented. According to one or more aspects, a video signal may be transmitted to a display device, and a sync signal may be transmitted to at least one other device. The sync signal may include an identifier of a program currently being displayed and a time value indicating a current point in time of the program. In at least one arrangement, the sync signal may cause the at least one other device to access content synchronization data; determine, based on the content synchronization data, that at least one supplemental experience corresponds to the identifier of the program and the time value; and present the at least one supplemental experience to a user.
System and Method for Improving Internet Communication by Using Intermediate Nodes
A method for fetching a content from a web server to a client device is disclosed, using tunnel devices serving as intermediate devices. The client device accesses an acceleration server to receive a list of available tunnel devices. The requested content is partitioned into slices, and the client device sends a request for the slices to the available tunnel devices. The tunnel devices in turn fetch the slices from the data server, and send the slices to the client device, where the content is reconstructed from the received slices. A client device may also serve as a tunnel device, serving as an intermediate device to other client devices. Similarly, a tunnel device may also serve as a client device for fetching content from a data server. The selection of tunnel devices to be used by a client device may be in the acceleration server, in the client device, or in both. The partition into slices may be overlapping or non-overlapping, and the same slice (or the whole content) may be fetched via multiple tunnel devices.
VIDEO SOURCE SWITCHING METHOD, PLAYING METHOD, APPARATUS, DEVICE, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
This application discloses a video source switching method, a playing method, an apparatus, a device, and a storage medium. The video source switching method includes obtaining switching information; determining a first key frame of a first video source according to the switching information, the first key frame being a next key frame of a current playing time of the first video source; querying a first time value of the first key frame; identifying a second video source according to the switching information; and switching video sources if a distance between a current time value of the second video source and the first time value is less than or equal to a threshold.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING OUTPUT OF A TELEVISION DEVICE
A method for controlling a television device, is implemented using a processor and includes: detecting user operation associated with a control interface for controlling operations of the television device; when it is determined that the television device is powered on, and that the television device has been in an idle state and no user operation has been detected for a predetermined amount of time, controlling the television device to playa selected advertisement; and when user operation is detected, controlling the television device to resume to a state prior to the playing of the selected advertisement.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INFORMATION INTERACTION IN LIVE BROADCAST ROOM
A method and an apparatus for information interaction in a broadcast room. The method includes: receiving a repurchase request initiated against a target resource in historical order information; in response to the repurchase request, when a live broadcast room corresponding to an order of the target resource is in a live state, playing a live broadcast screen of the live broadcast room, and displaying repurchase request information corresponding to the target resource in a play interface.
Systems and methods for presenting home screen shortcuts
In accordance with a method for presenting home screen shortcuts, a computer system is coupled to a plurality of media content providers and obtains a respective media application for each of the media content providers. Content is provided for display on the television screen from a first media content provider via a first media application. The computer system obtains a plurality of shortcuts corresponding to a home screen user interface, and the plurality of shortcuts includes one or more media shortcuts and a search shortcut. The home screen user interface is displayed concurrently with the provided content on the television screen, and the one or more media shortcuts and the search shortcut are concurrently displayed on the home screen user interface. In response to selection of the search shortcut, the computer system initiates a shortcut search for one or more additional shortcuts for display on the home screen user interface.
Transmission device, transmission method, reception device, and reception method
To secure easiness of component selection at a reception side. A transmission stream is generated in which a first transmission packet including a predetermined component and a second transmission packet including signaling information related to the predetermined component are multiplexed in a time division manner.
Electronic device and method of operating the same
An electronic device includes a display, a communication interface, a memory storing one or more instructions, and a processor. The processor, by executing the one or more instructions, is configured to, receive a user input for processing a second content while displaying a first content image on the display by processing a first content, identify whether a resource is available for processing the first content and the second content in the electronic device, based on the resource for processing the first content and the second content being unavailable in the electronic device, identify a peer device which has available resource to process the second content, transmit a request for processing the second content to the peer device, receive, through streaming, result second content which results from processing the second content by the peer device, from the peer device, and display, in addition to the first content image, a second content image corresponding to the result second content, on the display.
Distribution of multiple signals of video content independently over a network
A stereoscopic production solution, e.g., for live events, that provides 3D video asset distribution to multiple devices and networks is described. In some embodiments, live or recorded 3D video content may be accessible by different service providers with different subscribers/users and protocols across a network of the content provider. A first video signal corresponding to a first video feed for one eye of a viewer may be received and a second video signal corresponding to a second video feed for the second eye of the viewer may be received. The first video signal and the second video signal may be encoded. The encoded first video signal and the encoded second video signal may be transmitted independently over a network. The two video signals may be received and frame synced at an off-site location for eventual rendering to a display device.
