A beverage maker has pulse-width modulation (PWM) signals and preset flow velocity values stored therein and supplies a liquid through a flow velocity control method, which includes setting a target flow velocity value; setting one of the preset flow velocity values matching the target flow velocity value as a matched flow velocity value and setting one of the PWM signals corresponding to the matched flow velocity value as an executing PWM signal; supplying the liquid according to the executing PWM signal and sensing an actual liquid flow velocity; performing an algorithm on the executing PWM signal and a sensed liquid temperature and dispensing time to generate an adjusted PWM signal when a difference exists between the actual and the target flow velocity value; and finally, changing the liquid flow velocity according to the adjusted PWM signal, so that the beverage maker supplies the liquid at the target flow velocity stably.

A beverage-making machine includes: a housing; a fluid reservoir mounted to the housing; a first pump fluidly connected with the water reservoir; a heating unit comprising a conduit having an upper end and a lower end, the lower end of the conduit fluidly connected with the first pump, the conduit configured and arranged to rise monotonically from lower end to upper end; and a brew station having a brew basket with an inlet fluidly connected with the upper end of the conduit and an outlet, and further having a receptacle platform positioned to receive fluid from the outlet.

A brewing machine includes a liquid source, a dispensing outlet, and a motion device for moving the dispensing outlet according to at least one brewing pattern. The motion device includes a first transmission mechanism and a second transmission mechanism, the first transmission mechanism moves the second transmission mechanism to allow the second transmission mechanism to have a first motion trajectory, the second transmission mechanism moves the dispensing outlet to allow the dispensing outlet to have a second motion trajectory, and the first motion trajectory and the second motion trajectory have a substantially same shape.

The present invention relates to a sanitization unit (1) for sanitizing a liquid delivered to prepare a beverage. The sanitization unit (1) comprises an irradiation chamber (2) to receive liquid. The irradiation chamber (2) comprises: i) a liquid inlet (10) for introducing the liquid into the 5 irradiation chamber (2) and ii) a liquid outlet (12) for discharging the introduced liquid out of the irradiation chamber (2). An irradiation device (4) is configured to sanitize the liquid in the irradiation chamber (2). The liquid outlet (12) comprises a flow restrictor (12.1) to restrict a liquid flow when the pressure difference across the flow restrictor (12.1) is below a predetermined threshold, and to allow for a liquid flow with a higher flow rate when this pressure difference is equal to or greater than the predetermined threshold.
BEVERAGE PREPARATION MACHINE AND GASKET ARRANGEMENT
A beverage preparation machine having an inlet arrangement and a gasket arrangement is provided, where the inlet arrangement is configured with a plurality of inlet ports to deliver liquid to a beverage cartridge. A beverage brewer includes a pump, a container, an intake channel, an outflow channel, and a brewing material holder. The pump has inlet and outlet ports to provide negative fluid pressure at the inlet port and positive fluid pressure at the outlet port. The intake channel provides fluid communication between an interior of the container and the inlet port. The outflow channel provides fluid communication between the outlet port and the interior of the container. The brewing material holder is configured to hold ground brewing material and is arranged at an issue end of the outflow channel. The pump is configured to draw liquid from the interior of the container through the intake channel and to issue the liquid to the brewing material holder through the outflow channel, thereby brewing a beverage. The brewing material holder is configured to issue the brewed beverage into the interior of the container.
