The present disclosure provides a video jitter detection method and an apparatus. The video jitter detection method includes: acquiring a video; inputting the video into a detection model to obtain an evaluation value of the video, where the evaluation value is used to indicate a degree of jitter of the video; where the detection model is a model obtained by training using video samples in a video sample set as inputs and evaluation values of the video samples in the video sample set as outputs. By inputting the video to be detected into the detection model, the evaluation value of the video can be acquired through the detection model, thereby whether the video is jittery is determined, which realizes the video jitter detection end-to-end, and improves the detection accuracy and robustness of video jitter.

An electronic device receives a request, from a first device of a host user, to initiate a first shared playback session for the first device and one or more additional devices. The electronic device determines that the first device of the host user has left the first shared playback session and, in response, maintains the first playback queue to be accessed by the one or more additional devices. The historical data indicates past interactions of the user with media items. The method includes generating a model of the user. The model includes a first set of parameters, each of the first set of parameters quantifying a predicted latent preference of the user for a respective media item provided by the media providing service. The method includes evaluating the predicted latent preferences of the user for the respective media items against the historical data indicating the past interactions of the user with the media items provided by the media providing service. The method includes selecting a recommender system from a plurality of recommender systems using the model of the user, including the first set of parameters. Example embodiments provide systems and methods for crowdsourced skipping of media content portions. In an example method, a plurality of content tags are received from a plurality of media content devices over a communication network. Each of the plurality of content tags may designate a location within a media content item. The content tags are processed to generate aggregated content tags for the media content item. The aggregated content tags may designate one or more portions of the media content item for modified playback. The aggregated content tags for the media content item are transmitted over the communication network to a first media content device separate from the plurality of media content devices.
