Disclosed in embodiments of the present disclosure are a video page display method and apparatus, an electronic device and a computer-readable medium. A specific implementation of the method includes: displaying a video page, the video page including a video playback view and a dialog box, and a progress adjustment control being displayed in the dialog box, wherein the view hierarchy of the dialog box is higher than the view hierarchy of the video playback view and the remaining controls in the video page; and in response to detecting a first user operation on the progress adjustment control, adjusting the progress of a video currently being played back in the video page, and updating the progress displayed in the progress adjustment control. The described implementation achieves the reuse of a progress adjustment control between different pages.

Methods, systems, and media for providing dynamic media sessions with audio stream expansion features are provided. In some embodiments, the methods include: receiving an indication that audio content associated with a video content item is to be presented by a follower device synchronously with the audio content presented by the leader device; identifying candidate follower devices by determining whether devices connected to a local area network are capable of being designated as a follower device; causing a user interface to be presented that indicates each candidate follower device; receiving, via the user interface, a selection of one of the candidate follower devices; and transmitting, from the leader to the selected follower device, control instructions that cause the audio content associated with the video content item to be presented synchronously by the selected follower device with the video content item presented by the leader device.

An electronic device is disclosed and includes a display and at least one processor operatively connected with the display. The at least one processor is configured to, when an application is executed, display an execution window corresponding to the application on the display, display the execution window, as a first shape of execution window, on at least a portion of the display, in response to a background switch request for the application, identify a state of the application while displaying the first shape of execution window, and switch the first shape of execution window into a second shape of execution window according to the state of the application.

A computer-implemented method obtains a plurality of image files, each corresponding to an image in a video stream and builds a common file from a contiguous grouping of the plurality of image files. Network services encode multimedia content, such as video, into multiple adaptive bitrate streams of encoded video and a separate trick play stream of encoded video to support trick play features. The trick play stream is encoded at a lower encoding bitrate and frame rate than each of the adaptive bitrate streams. The adaptive bitrate streams and the trick play stream are stored in the network services. During normal content streaming and playback, a client device downloads a selected one of the adaptive bitrate streams from network serviced for playback at the client device. To implement a trick play feature, the client device downloads the trick play stream from the network services for trick play playback.

A video stream formed with a video packet having coded image data in a payload is generated. A subtitle stream formed with a subtitle packet having subtitle information in a payload is generated. A multiplexed stream including the video stream and the subtitle stream is generated and transmitted. In generating the multiplexed stream, the subtitle packet is arranged at a random access position.

Embodiments of this disclosure provide a method relating to video playing in mobile phone. The method includes: while displaying a first video in a first user interface of a first application, detecting an event for displaying a second user interface of a second application; if the second application has a higher display priority than the first application and playback of the first video is in active progress, replacing display of the first user interface of the first application with display of the second user interface of the second application on the display; generating a hover box to overlay a portion of the second user interface of the second application on the display; and continuing the playback of the first video in the hover box overlaid on the portion of the second user interface of the second application such that both the first application and the second application are performed simultaneously.

Methods and systems are described for a media guidance application that limits the incentive for authorized users to share content with unauthorized users, while still allowing users to access content virtually anywhere. Specifically, the media guidance application allows an authorized user to receive only a portion of a media asset that he or she is authorized to access on a different device, after a designated time period, and/or when the remaining portion of the media asset is inaccessible.

Systems and methods for stitching advertisements in streaming content are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method comprises receiving one or more advertisements. An unmarked content item may be received, the unmarked content item comprising a stream-enabled video including a set of sequential black frames. An insertion point may be identified based on a location of at least one black frame of the set of sequential black frames without requiring user input, the insertion point identified during streaming of the unmarked content item to a consumer system, the insertion point being ahead of a current playback point of the unmarked content item streaming to the consumer system. The one or more advertisements may be stitched in the unmarked content item at the insertion point. The unmarked content item may be streamed to a consumer system until the insertion point is reached, and the one or more advertisements may be streamed to the consumer system when the insertion point is reached.
