Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for artificially generating a revoiced media stream and maintaining original volume changes of a character in the revoiced media stream are provided. For example, a media stream including an individual speaking may be obtained. A transcript of the media stream may be obtained. The transcript of the media stream may be translated to a target language. A revoiced media stream in which the translated transcript in the target language is spoken by a virtual entity may be generated, wherein a ratio of the volume levels between first and second sets of words in the revoiced media stream is substantially identical to the ratio of volume levels between corresponding first and second utterances in the received media stream.

A list of video-on-demand (VOD) programs based on viewer selections is provided. VOD programs may be marked with a mark indicating the level of viewer interest. In one embodiment, a list of VOD programs may be displayed that includes or excludes programs having a particular mark, or sorts programs based on the marks. In another embodiment, a list of VOD programs may be displayed based on availability times. in yet another embodiment, after a viewer has played back a VOD program, a list of related VOD programs may be automatically displayed.

A system for assisting a content consumer to select content services, the system including a processor that is configured to execute a matching algorithm. The matching algorithm comprises interviewing the content consumer for questions in a plurality of categories, determining a point system for answers obtained by the interviewing step, wherein the answers indicate entertainment interests of the content consumer calculating a service score for each content service based on the point system, wherein the service score indicates an agreement between a content service and the entertainment interests of the content consumer and selecting a pre-determined number of content services based on the service score.

An electronic device stores a shared playback queue for the shared playback session, the shared playback queue comprising one or more media content items, including a first media content item requested by a first user. While the shared playback queue includes the first media content item, the device receives a second request, from a second user, to add a second media content item to the shared playback queue. The device determines an order of the shared playback queue based at least in part on the musical preferences indicated in a profile of a third user of the plurality of users participating in the shared playback session. The device provides, for playback in the shared playback session, the first media content item and the second media content item based on the order of the shared playback queue.

Certain exemplary embodiments relate to entertainment systems that interact with users so as to provide for social networking and/or other services. In certain exemplary embodiments, an entertainment system is configured to provide jukebox-related and entertainment system mediated services that are accessible from within and from the outside of the location, coordinating social networking services among and between patrons within and outside of the location and also providing for advertisement opportunities. In certain exemplary embodiments, the entertainment system within a location may serve as and/or be connected to a jukebox. The entertainment system within the location may be connected to one or more client devices, one or more displays, one or more bar-top or hand-held gaming devices, etc., in certain exemplary embodiments. The jukebox-related and entertainment system mediated services may provide mechanisms for enhancing patrons' experiences, creating a sense of ownership and/or belongingness to a connected community of entertainment system users.

A media guidance application is provided by which users can define rules for assigning user equipment devices as destinations for media content. For example, a user may define a rule by which selected media content having attributes that satisfy a user-defined condition are downloaded, recorded, or streamed to a particular, user-specified user equipment device. The user may define and manage rules using media guidance menus, and may restrict other users from accessing the rules (e.g., parents restricting children).

An electronic apparatus and control method therefor is provided. The electronic apparatus includes a communicator configured to communicate with a plurality of electronic devices, and a processor. The processor is configured to obtain information about multimedia content in response to an event occurring in relation to the multimedia content, select at least one electronic device among the plurality of electronic devices based on the obtained information about the multimedia content and reference information referring to multimedia contents previously designated in correspondence with the plurality of electronic devices, respectively, and control the communicator to transmit the multimedia content to the selected at least one electronic device.

Systems and methods are provided herein to dynamically update content restrictions for multiple users by detecting a first user in the proximity of a media device playing a first content item and detecting a second user entering the proximity of the media device. In response to detecting a second user entering the proximity of the media device and receiving a command from the first user that controls playing the first content, the system modifies a stored relationship between the first user and the second user to track the relationship between the first user and the second user. Thereafter, when the system detects the first user and the second user in the proximity of a media device playing a second content, in response, the system automatically performs an action that controls the playing of the second content (e.g., without user having to issue those commands).

Systems and methods are provided herein for scheduling a season recording. A series is provided to a user device, the series having a plurality of sequential seasons, and each season having a plurality of episodes. A request for recording the series is received from the user. In response, a last episode of the series watched by the user is identified. A relevant season of the plurality of seasons is then determined, such that the relevant season precedes another season of the plurality of seasons and includes the last episode watched by the user. Then, episodes of the relevant season that follow the last episode watched by the user are scheduled for recording, such that episodes of a season that precedes the relevant season are not scheduled for recording.

A TV control system includes: a TV control device which generates a viewing distance detection value and an illumination level detection value, inputs a setting value transmitted from the smart phone, and transmits a human body distance detection value, the illumination level detection value, the setting value, and a control signal to the smart TV; the smart TV which receives the viewing distance detection value, the illumination level detection value, and the setting value transmitted from the TV control device, and changes a distance and time setting value in response to the control signal; the smart phone which generates a control signal for changing distance information and a control signal for changing time setting and transmits the control signals to the TV control device; and a router which is connected to the smart phone and the TV control device through a communication network.
