There is presented a system for providing a digital multimedia presentation. The system comprises a presentation server; a presentation content database accessible through the presentation server, the presentation content database configured to store a plurality of contents including the digital multimedia presentation, a plurality of digital media contents and a plurality of advertising contents; and a review and redirection application configured to determine at least one of the plurality of digital multimedia contents as an alternative to the digital multimedia presentation, and provide a review and redirection pane integrated with a contextual background corresponding to the digital multimedia presentation; the review and redirection pane configured to enable play of the digital multimedia presentation, redirection to the at least one of the plurality of digital multimedia contents, and selection of at least one of the plurality of advertising contents associated with the digital multimedia presentation.

A method for enabling an user to consume a video or audio content understandable with respect to a preferred language. The method includes receiving a content selection input from an user for selecting a video or audio content for viewing from a set of contents, wherein the content is available in one or more languages, receiving a location related information of the user, identifying the preferred language for providing the content, fetching the content from the server based on the preferred language, if the content is not available in the preferred language, fetching a text content along with the video or audio content in relation to the preferred language, rendering the video or audio content alone or in synchronization with the text content.

A message push method includes playing a first video in a play interface of a terminal according to first video data transmitted by a server. The method further includes displaying, by processing circuitry of the terminal, a scenario interaction interface at a preset playback time of the first video, the scenario interaction interface being set according to display content of an electronic device shown in the first video. Next, the method includes obtaining interaction information input based on the displayed scenario interaction interface, and obtaining a target message related to the obtained interaction information. Finally, the method includes outputting the obtained target message by the processing circuitry of the terminal.

Systems and methods are described for leveraging machine learning to deliver time-sensitive media content offers to a consumer over an optimal device and channel. In an implementation, a server system transmits media content offers over an optimal device and channel to a user. The server system captures metadata of at least one of: the user's use of multiple devices, the user's media content preferences, the user's preferred transmission channels for receiving media content offers over the multiple devices, and the user's preferred times for receiving media content offers. The server system prepares a media content offer for transmission to the user. Based on the captured metadata, the server system selects a user device of the multiple user devices and a transmission channel of multiple transmission channels to transmit the media content offer; and transmits the media content offer to the selected user device over the selected transmission channel.

Disclosed herein is a transmission apparatus for distributing a content to a client, including: a question generation section configured to generate question information representative of a question regarding liking of a user of the client; and a transmission section configured to transmit the question information and provider side answer information in the form of a bit string representative of an answer set by a provider which provides the content to the question regarding the liking of the user to the client.

Disclosed herein is a transmission apparatus for distributing a content to a client, including a script generation section for generating a script for obtaining user side answer information representative of an answer of a user of the client to a question regarding liking of the user, and transmission section for transmitting the script and provider side answer information representative of an answer set by a provider which provides the content to the question regarding the liking of the user to the client.

A computer system for determining TV viewership information for one or more TV panelists is provided, the computer system having memory to store programs and one or more processors for executing the one or more programs. The programs include instructions for: receiving TV broadcast information from a TV metering device, wherein the TV broadcast information identifies a current status of a TV in a household and an associated timestamp; receiving TV panelist status information from a first login/logout device that is different from the TV metering device, wherein the TV panelist status information identifies a viewership status of the TV panelist and an associated timestamp; and correlating the TV broadcast information with the TV panelist status information in accordance with their respective timestamps to determine a relationship between the TV panelist and a respective TV program currently broadcasted by the TV in the household.

Systems and methods are configured to provide alternate content during video streaming. Content made up of a plurality of blocks is streamed over a first video stream to a user computing device via a first URI. While streaming, a determination is made that alternate content is available. In response, a signaling mechanism is provided indicating such and a request for the alternate content is received. As a result, a particular block that is currently being provided over the first video stream is suspended and the alternate content is streamed to the user computing entity over a second video stream. Depending on the embodiment, the second video stream may be accessed by re-activating the first URI or by activating a second URI. Upon completion of the alternate content, the particular block that was suspended can be resumed to facilitate continued streaming of the content over the first or second video stream.

Video content is uploaded via the Internet to a video-on-demand (VOD) server identified by a title and a hierarchical address of categories and subcategories for categorizing the title. The VOD server converts and stores the video content at a storage address in a video content database linked to the title. The title is listed in a location of an electronic program guide (EPG) using the same categories and subcategories as in its hierarchical address. Any TV subscriber can access the EPG and navigate through its categories and subcategories to find a title for viewing on the TV. This can enable many new blogging or podcasting-like programs by popular “Hosts” to be self-published on the Internet and readily navigated for display on TV. The EPG can also store TV program addresses as bookmarks and allow them to be shared with other subscribers or with friends and contacts online by sending to their email addresses.
