Re-encoding predicted picture frames in live video stream applications
In various examples, a media stream may be received by a re-encode system that may leverage a recode engine to convert (e.g., at an interval, based on a request, etc.) an inter-frame associated with the media stream to an intra-frame. The intra-frame may be converted from the inter-frame using parameters or other information associated with and received with the media stream. The converted intra-frame may be merged into an updated segment of the media stream in place of the original inter-frame to enable storage of the updated segment—or a portion thereof—for later use.
Methods for providing access to recordings of game play and generation of custom camera views of the game play
A computer-implemented method is provided. The method includes executing a game application on one or more servers of a data center. The game application is for a game and the game is played by a first user of a first client device remote to the data center. The one or more servers interfaced with one or more encoders for compressing interactive video from the game application responsive to input from the first client device and streaming of the interactive video in a compressed format to the first client device for decompression and rendering to a display of the first client device. The method includes storing, at the data center, a recording of at least part of the game played by the first user using the first client device. The method includes storing, at the data center, state data for at least part of the game played by the first user using the first client device. The method includes generating a replay of the recording responsive to input from a second user device. The replay is generated with a different camera view from a camera view in the recording. The replay is executed using as input the state data.
Information processing apparatus and information processing system
Methods and apparatus provide for downloading application software from a server, including: downloading the application software from the server, where a first application software file contains only a portion of the application software, and a second application software file contains more than the portion of the application software; executing the application software and generating application images based thereon, where execution of the first application software file contains enough of the application software to execute a limited amount of the application software; and displaying the application images on a display screen based on the execution of the application software, where the acquisition unit begins downloading the second application software file in a background process after downloading the first application software file and at least partially during the execution of the first application software file.
IN-VEHICLE MULTI-OCCUPANT MEDIA MANAGEMENT
Various embodiments also include a computer-implemented method comprising determining a communications mode for a plurality of consoles operating within a vehicle, based on the determined communications mode, initiating an in-vehicle communication between a set of consoles included in the plurality of consoles, where the set of consoles includes at least a first console and a second console, in response to the in-vehicle communication, causing each of the set of consoles to attenuate volumes of a set of content items playing on each of the set of consoles, and receiving a speech signal generated by a first user of the set of consoles, and causing the set of consoles to reproduce the speech signal.
ATSC over-the-air (OTA) broadcast of public volumetric augmented reality (AR)
Techniques are described for using the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) 3.0 television protocol to deliver volumetric information for presentation on various displays using ATSC over-the-air communications channels.
METHODS AND APPARATUS TO CREDIT UNIDENTIFIED MEDIA
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to credit unidentified media are disclosed. Disclosed example apparatus include a database updater to store a first group of signatures representative of unidentified media in a database, the first group of signatures obtained from a first media meter to monitor a first media presentation device, the first group of signatures associated with a first media exposure category based on media source information reported by the first media meter. Disclosed example apparatus also include a media comparator to compare a second group of signatures with the first group of signatures, the second group of signatures obtained from a second media meter to monitor a second media presentation device. Disclosed example apparatus further include a reporter to credit media exposure represented by the second group of signatures to the first media exposure category when the second group of signatures matches the first group of signatures.
METHOD OF MERGING DIGITAL MEDIA
Embodiments herein provide for methods of dividing selected areas of a first video clip having a first composition, e.g., by generating individual video data corresponding to the selected areas, arranging the selected areas to provide a second composition, e.g., by combining the individual video data to generate composite video data corresponding to the second composition, and compiling the composite video data to provide a second video clip having the second composition.
METHOD FOR LIVE BROADCAST INTERACTION, ELECTRONIC DEVICE, AND NON-TRANSITORY STORAGE MEDIUM
Provided are a method for live broadcast interaction, an electronic device, and a non-transitory storage medium. The method includes: acquiring a battle request, acquiring interaction information corresponding to respective participant identifiers associated with a plurality of team identifiers, and converting the interaction information into a battle value of a. corresponding team identifier, and determining, according to the battle value of each team identifier, a ranking position of each team identifier.
TEMPORARY TELEVISION RIGHTS SCHEME GRANT BASED ON UNCERTAIN MEASURABLE EVENTS
Various arrangements for authorizing content viewing are detailed herein. Sports wager data corresponding to a sports wager placed by a user may be provided to a television service provider system. The television service provider system can perform a lookup action to determine a content event based on the sports wager data. In response to the received sports wager data, a user account may be authorized using a rights scheme for access to a television channel on which the content event is scheduled to be broadcast. The television service provider system may deauthorized the user account for access to the television channel by removing the rights scheme such that access to the television channel on which the content event was broadcast is blocked after the event.
Creating and distributing interactive addressable virtual content
Systems and methods create and distribute addressable virtual content with interactivity. The virtual content may depict a live event and may be customized for each individual user based on dynamic characteristics (e.g., habits, preferences, etc.) of the user that are captured during user interaction with the virtual content. The virtual content is generated with low latency between the actual event and the live content that allows the user to interactively participate in actions related to the live event. The virtual content may represent a studio with multiple display screens that each show different live content (of the same or different live events), and may also include graphic displays that include related data such as statistics corresponding to the live event, athletes at the event, and so on. The content of the display screens and graphics may be automatically selected based on the dynamic characteristics of the user.
