Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, identifying content consumption data associated with media content consumption at a customer device, and generating a content selection recommendation for the customer device. Some embodiments can include determining a habit-based content selection vector for the customer device. Various embodiments can include determining the habit-based content selection vector based on a habit profile for the customer device. Some embodiments can include adjusting a content selection vector for the customer device based on the habit-based content selection vector for the customer device. Various embodiments can include generating the content selection recommendation for the customer device based on the adjusted content selection vector. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Systems and techniques are provided for automation and recommendation based on device control protocols. HDMI-CEC device control data may be received from a connected electronic device that may be connected to an electronic display device. The HDMI-CEC device control data may be based on a HDMI-CEC device control signal from the electronic display device. Signals may be received from sensor devices located in a same structure as the electronic display device. The HDMI-CEC device control data and signals from the sensor devices may be input to the machine learning system. The machine learning system may generate a control signal for a device. The control signal may be sent to the device to be implemented by the device.

This application provides a livestreaming processing method performed by an electronic device. The method includes: obtaining real-time livestreaming data of a livestreaming room while displaying livestreaming content of the livestreaming room; acquiring a portion of the livestreaming content of the livestreaming room according to the real-time livestreaming data, and generating a promotion video according to the acquired portion of the livestreaming content; and; and transmitting the promotion video to a plurality of social networking accounts of a social networking application, wherein the transmitted promotion video provides an option for a user associated with one of the plurality of social networking accounts to join the livestreaming room.

The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for recommending multimedia resources. The method for recommending multimedia resources includes: in response to a multimedia playing instruction, acquiring a target recommendation tree, and the target recommendation tree being constructed based on a content association between a target multimedia resource and recommended multimedia resources; determining a target parent node corresponding to the target multimedia resource in the target recommendation tree; taking multimedia resources corresponding to at least two child nodes of the target parent node as the recommended multimedia resources; and playing the target multimedia resource and displaying presenting information of the recommended multimedia resources on a multimedia playing page.

A computing system is described herein, where the computing system is configured to perform a search over a computer-readable index based upon a query for a user. The computer-readable index includes an identifier for a livestream video that is currently being livestreamed by way of a livestreaming service and values for respective attributes of the livestream video. The values for the respective attributes are updated as content of the livestream video alters over time. The livestream video is identified from amongst several livestream videos based upon the search, where the video is identified due to a set of values specified in the query corresponding to the values for the respective attributes in the computer-readable index. Upon the livestream video being identified, an identifier of the livestream video is transmitted to a client computing device of the user.

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a system and method for selecting media content for a group of persons located at a venue. The system and method identify a plurality of viewers in a vicinity of a venue that has one or more display devices from location data and extracts a content viewing preference of each viewer from their profile data. The process includes aggregating the content viewing preference of each of the plurality of viewers to generate an aggregated content profile. Based on the aggregated content profile, a list of content is generated. Next, a first group of viewers approaching a viewing range of a display device are sensed by imaging data. Any conflicts between content viewing preferences of the first group of viewers are detected and resolved based on weighting the viewing preferences of the group. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Embodiments described herein provide for extending media playback. In an example implementation, during playback of one or more first media items populated in a queue, a control system extends playback time of the queue. Extending playback time of the queue may involve determining when the one or more first media items will be finished playing; and before the first media items are finished playing, determining one or more second media items that correspond in substantial likeness to the one or more first media items and sending an instruction that causes the first playback device to insert the determined one or more second media items into the queue such that play time of the queue is extended.

The present disclosure provides a method and an apparatus for synthesizing a video, and a storage medium. The method is implemented as follows. A video to be synthesized is displayed on a video editing interface. In response to a video sharing instruction, a friend recommendation list is acquired and displayed. The friend recommendation list is used for indicating a plurality of sharing objects. A synthesized video is generated based on the video and the target sharing object. A reminding mark for indicating the target sharing object is displayed on a video picture of the synthesized video.

A first set of images of a graphical display may be acquired and analyzed to identify visual characteristics of an object represented. Attributes of the object may be identified. Specifications may be transmitted to the television receiver and/or a remote data source in order to pull matching information. A user-selectable interface element may be generated for presentation as an option to take an action relating to the object represented. A visual output of the interface element may be output as an overlay on the first set and/or a second set of images displayed by the computing device. A user selection responsive to the outputting of the visual output of the at interface element may be processed. A communication may be transmitted to the television receiver to cause the action responsive to the user selection.
