11259072 · 2022-02-22 · ·

A sales administration system that manages online sales via overlays on a video stream. Customers can comment on or respond to the video stream, and may order products using simple phrases such as “Sold”. The system can stream video with overlays to multiple clients simultaneously, including websites and mobile apps. Comments from all clients are received, aggregated, processed for orders, and displayed to the sales administrator. The system is coupled to a merchant's operational data, providing immediate visibility to changes in inventory and orders. Video overlays may be updated automatically by the system as this operational data changes, for example highlighting products with low stock. The system may analyze customer comments and orders both during the video stream and after the sales session is complete, and may generate recommendations to improve sales effectiveness. For backorders, customers may preauthorize charges to be at the front of the queue for shipment.

Method for selecting resolution switching algorithm, computing device, and computer-program product

A method is provided. The method includes: obtaining multiple association relationships, wherein each association relationship includes a resolution switching algorithm and a historical freeze rate; determining a historical freeze rate meeting a preset condition from the multiple association relationships; and selecting a target resolution switching algorithm from a corresponding association relationship of the association relationships according to the historical freeze rate meeting the preset condition, wherein the target resolution switching algorithm is used for switching a resolution of a video. A system, a computing device, and a computer-program product are also provided.

Systems and methods for adaptively modifying presentation of media content

Presentation of content on a display device is adaptively modified based on the apparent size of a content area in which the content is presented. A distance between the first user and the display device is determined, as well as an actual size of the content area in which the content is being presented. Based on the distance and the actual size of the content area, an apparent size of the content area is calculated, and presentation of the content is modified based on the apparent size of the content area.

Method and system for collaborative and scalable information presentation

The present invention provides an information presentation system, comprising: a video module configured to obtain video content to be presented to a user; a network module configured to obtain certain information related to the video content including at least a first type of related information, a second type of related information, and a third type of related information; a first display configured to display the video content at a primary location in front of the user; one or more second displays configured to display the first type related information at the primary location outside the first display and to display the second type related information on a secondary location along the side of the primary location; an interactive display configured to interact with the user and display the third type related information; and a system controller configured to perform content assignments to the displays according to requirements from the user.

System for managing media content for a personal television channel

A system for presenting media programming guides is disclosed. A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a media processor can have a controller to transmit to a media source a request to access media content of a personal television (TV) channel composed by a subscriber of a media communication system according to one or more graphical user interface (GUI) templates that define a plurality of segments of a presentation area of the personal TV channel and one or more modules that arrange media content of the subscriber in the plurality of segments of a select one of the plurality of GUI templates. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Providing a search service convertible between a search window and an image display window

A method for providing a search service and a display apparatus applying the same are provided. According to the search service providing method, a search window for doing an Internet search is displayed on a partial area of the screen that displays an image. The search window can be converted into an image display window in response to receiving a specific manipulation input by a user, thereby allowing the user to use the search service while converting between the use of the search window and video watching.

Method and apparatus for shared viewing of media content

In systems and methods for enhancing group watch experiences, a first user's reaction is detected using multiple sensors, e.g., at least one camera and a microphone, and may be combined with context information to determine an action to perform at user equipment devices of other users participating in the group watch to convey the first user's reaction. Images from the at least one camera can be used to determine a portion of the screen to which the user's reaction is directed and/or another user to whom the reaction is directed. The reaction may be conveyed using one or more of an audio effect, a visual effect, haptic effect or text, e.g., to highlight the determined portion or user, display an icon and/or output an audio or video clip. A signal for providing haptic feedback may be transmitted to the user equipment device of the determined user.

The disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for providing a multi-view streaming service having at least two screens. According to an embodiment, the multi-view streaming service providing apparatus includes a first screen control module, a second screen control module, and a playback control module. The first screen control module supports playback processing of a first MPEG media transport (MMT) streaming data for a first screen. The second screen control module supports playback processing of a second MMT streaming data for a second screen. The playback control module identifies playback time information inserted in each media processing unit (MPU) of the first and second streaming data in response to a request for multi-view streaming playback, and controls the first and second screen control modules to synchronize and play the respective MPUs of the first and second streaming data in accordance with the identified playback time information.

A 2D/3D conversion processing section converts 2D contents (television broadcast program) received by a television broadcast receiving section to contents for the right eye and contents for the left eye for 3D, and the contents for 3D obtained by conversion are subjected to 3D display on a display section. When switching is made from 2D display to 3D display, a central control section suppresses display of data-broadcast data regarding television video data. Consequently, even if video display of the television broadcast is switched from 2D to 3D, video of television broadcast can be displayed in 3D as effectively as possible.

WIRELESS DEVICE

A wireless device supporting Wi-Fi Direct service includes: a display; a communication unit; and a controller configured to cause: transmitting resolution information including a plurality of resolutions that are supported by the wireless device to a second wireless device; receiving an entire image including a first image and a second image from the second wireless device if a resolution of the first image is not one of the plurality of resolutions; displaying the first image by removing the second image from the received entire image when the entire image is received; and receiving the first image from the second wireless device without the second image if the resolution of the first image is included in the resolution information, the second image being an image that is added to the first image such that a resolution of the received entire image corresponds to one of the plurality of resolutions.
