The disclosed techniques include sending message data comprising a comment on a video item by a first client computing device when the first client computing device is in a first state among a plurality of states; receiving bullet screen data comprising comments on the video item sent by the first client computing device and other client computing devices; determining echo bullet screens comprising a plurality of comments on the video item sent by the other client computing devices during a predetermined period; and displaying a bullet screen comprising the comment sent by the first client computing device and the echo bullet screens.

A user terminal according to an aspect may include: an extraction unit that extracts original language information pertaining to each character on the basis of at least one among a video file and an audio file separately generated from a moving image file; a translation unit that generates translation information obtained by translating the original language information according to a selected language; and a control unit that provides at least one among the original language information and the translation information.

Systems and methods are presented for providing to filter unwanted sounds from a media asset. Voice profiles of a first character and a second character are generated based on a first voice signal and a second voice signal received from the media device during a presentation. The user provides a selection to avoid a certain sound or voice in association with the second character. During a presentation of the media asset, a second audio segment is analyzed to determine, based on the voice profile of the second character, whether the second voice signal includes the voice of a second character. If so, the second voice signal output characteristics are adjusted to reduce the sound.

An encoder for use with video data, first supplemental data, second supplemental data, and a display device. The encoder includes: a memory; and a processor configured to execute instructions stored on the memory to cause the encoder to: generate modified video data based on an incorporation of the first supplemental data into the video data such that the supplemental video will be displayed at a predetermined location when the modified video is displayed on the display device; generate metadata associated with the predetermined location; generate an encoded transport stream including the modified video data, the metadata and the second supplemental data; and transmit the encoded transport stream to the display device so as to enable the display device to decode the encoded transport stream and display the modified video and the second supplemental video such that the second supplemental video is not displayed at the predetermined location.
