A broadcaster device generates a live stream including video-based commentary regarding a live event combined with an audio and/or video feed of the live event itself. A viewer device receives a copy of the integrated live event and commentator stream and synchronized event information (e.g., real-time scores), and displays the integrated stream and the event information (e.g., as a “scorebug”). Viewers of a given live event may seamlessly select amongst different broadcasters for the same live event to access different integrated live event and commentator streams respectively synchronized with the event information. A social media platform is provided in tandem with live streaming of digital content relating to live events to allow a given broadcaster and their associated viewers to communicate with one another, comment on the event and/or the broadcaster's live stream, and send digital gifts.

The present disclosure provides examples of a method and apparatus for processing a video, a device and a storage medium. The method may include: acquiring a target video and a target comment of the target video; recognizing a picture in the target video to obtain text information of the picture; determining a target comment matching a content of the text information; and inserting, in response to displaying the picture in the target video, the target comment matching the content in a form of a bullet screen.

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, receiving a group of content layers from a group of media content sources, and identifying metadata for each of the group of content layers resulting in a group of metadata. Further embodiments can include obtaining a group of user preferences, and selecting a first portion of the group of content layers according to the group of metadata and the group of user preferences resulting in a first selected portion of the group of content layers. Additional embodiments can include providing first instructions to a first display of a first communication device to present the first selected portion of the group of content layers resulting in a first presentation. The method comprises monitoring at least a subset of the audience. The method further comprises determining the information related to the audience based on the monitored subset of the audience. The information related to the audience comprises measured metrics for the subset of the audience. The method further comprises determining at least one conversion factor based on a relationship between a property value measured within at least one previously monitored audience subsets and the corresponding property value of the previous audience. The at least one conversion factor indicates a relationship between a property measured within the monitored subset of the audience and at least one property of the audience. The method further comprises estimating the at least one property of the audience based on the at least one conversion factor.

A UHD display presents HD video in the native resolution of HD, leaving some portions of the UHD display unused for presenting the HD video. Ancillary information received, for example, in real time with the HD video or in parallel with the HD video over the Internet is presented in the unused portions of the UHD display along with the HD video.

System and method for facilitating advertisements within viewed content. The advertisements may be banner advertisements or other advertisement. The advertisements may be included in such a manner that if a user skips or otherwise fast forwards through the advertisements, the user if force to skip through at least a portion of the viewed content.

Systems and methods for providing blackout support in video mosaic and television environments are disclosed. In response to receiving a request for a video mosaic page, screen data or application data, which may include blackout information, is received. The blacked out content may be automatically recorded to the user equipment or a network server for later playback after the blackout has expired. In addition, an overlay of options associated with the blacked out asset may be presented. The overlay may include options to substitute the blacked out asset with replacement content, search for similar content, retrieve more information about the blackout, or present summary information, such as a sports ticker, in place of the blacked out cell.

A computer implemented method that includes receiving a request to present a first content item and, in response, a second content item is presented using a first presentation type. A second request is received to modify the presentation size of the second content item and, in response, the first content item is presented simultaneously with the second content item. A determination is made that the modified size of the second content item crosses a threshold and, in response, the second content item is presented using a second presentation type.

A display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure can generate and provide summarized content by selecting a user's favorite content based on a user viewing history and processing the selected favorite content to suit a user preference. The display device includes a controller configured to acquire user preference, and a display configured to display summarized content generated based on the user preference. The controller can be configured to extract some frames from original content based on the user preference, and to generate summarized content including the extracted frames.
