SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DOWNLOADING CONTENT AND PLAYING THE CONTENT AT A VEHICLE
A vehicle computer system includes a wireless transceiver configured to allow a vehicle to communicate with a remote server and a processor in communication with the remote server. The processor is configured to receive one or more settings indicating a preference for downloading content at the remote server to the vehicle, send instructions to the remote server to download the content in response to the preference, download the content from the remote server, output the content at the vehicle.
Method and system for delivery of immersive content over communication networks
Computer-implemented systems and methods of providing content to a user via communications between a content provider and a user over a plurality of disparate communication channels are provided. Content is provided to a user via a first transmission channel for presentation. Metadata associated with the content identifies a content event trigger at a point in the content. The content is displayed using a first presentation system. When the content event trigger is reached, supplemental content is provided to the user via a second transmission channel. The supplemental content is provided to the user during continued presentation of the content, and the supplemental content is provided to the user using a content providing system that is wholly separate from the first presentation system.

Methods and systems for dynamically processing media content on transportation vehicles
Methods and systems are provided for a transportation vehicle. One method includes parsing by a processor on an aircraft, metadata of media content received by the aircraft, while the aircraft is in flight, the media content includes a media file and the metadata. The metadata indicates a start date when the media content can be presented to a device on the aircraft and an end date when media content is to become inaccessible. The method further includes dynamically generating a unique identifier for the media content by the processor, the unique identifier based on an aircraft identifier; updating the metadata by the processor by associating the unique identifier with the media content; storing the media content with the updated metadata and an indicator when the media content is to be deleted; and using the unique identifier by the processor for tracking usage of the media content on the aircraft.
NBMP WORKFLOW MANAGEMENT IN 5G FLUS
Systems and methods for media processing and streaming are provided. A method includes sending, by a Network-Based Media Processing (NBMP) source, a request to establish a Framework for Live Uplink Streaming (FLUS) session between a FLUS source and a FLUS sink; receiving, by the NBMP source, an address of an NBMP workflow manager from the FLUS source after the FLUS session is established; and sending, by the NBMP source to the NBMP workflow manager via a path, of the address, that does not include the FLUS source and the FLUS sink, a request to create or update a workflow for processing media content.

ALLOCATING STREAMING CONTENT ON A HYBRID NETWORK
Allocating streaming content on a hybrid network can include searching for streaming content broadcast via broadcast signals over a broadcast network as a communications device is receiving the streaming content via a cellular network. Responsive to identifying, based on the searching, a within-range broadcast source broadcasting the streaming content via broadcast signals, the communications device can begin receiving the streaming content via the broadcast signals over the broadcast network and cease receiving the streaming content via the cellular network.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRANSMISSION OF DATA FROM A WIRELESS MOBILE DEVICE OVER A MULTIPATH WIRELESS ROUTER
There is disclosed a system and method for transmission of multiple data streams from a mobile device to a network. In an embodiment, the system includes a multipath wireless router configured to provide a plurality of network connections including cellular, satellite, or wired Ethernet. An encoding module provided on the mobile device is configured to encode high volume data (e.g. high definition video) recorded by the mobile device into multiple data streams in dependence on the number of network connections available for transmission via the multipath wireless router. The encoding module provided on the mobile device transmits the multiple data streams to the wireless router using Wi-Fi to provide a local, short-hop, high capacity network connection. The plurality of network connections available via the multipath wireless router provides the necessary capacity and reliability to transmit a high volume of data, such as high definition video, virtually live.
System and method for providing data services on vehicles
Devices, systems, methods and computer-readable media are provided for data communication to and from a vehicle. A device is provided that includes memory storing processor-executable instructions; and at least one processor in communication with the memory that executes the stored instructions to: receive, from at least one user on the vehicle, at least one request for data communication; identify a plurality of communication links available at a current location of the moving vehicle; form an adaptive bonded communication link using the plurality of communication links to aggregate throughput across the plurality of communication links for the requested data communication, wherein the adaptive bonded communication link is configured to adapt to data communication requirements for the requested data communication and to data communication characteristics of the plurality of communication links as the vehicle moves. Corresponding methods, computer system products, uses, and computer-readable media are also provided.
