Image transmission apparatus, image transmission method, and recording medium
An image transmission apparatus includes an imaging device, wireless communication equipment and at least one processor. The processor determines whether the wireless communication equipment is able to complete transmission of a first frame image within a transmission period corresponding to a first imaging cycle. The processor controls the wireless communication equipment to continue transmission of the first frame image in a transmission period of a second frame image output from the imaging device in a second imaging cycle when the processor determines that the wireless communication equipment is not able to complete transmission of the first frame image.
CONTENT STORAGE AND PROCESSING IN NETWORK BASE STATIONS AND METHODS FOR CONTENT DELIVERY IN A MESH NETWORK
A system includes a base station having a local storage device and a local processor, and providing a cell in a network for one or more clients communicatively connected to the base station. A content distribution module of the system is configured to store a local copy of a digital content item. A remote copy of the digital content item is stored on a remote computing device. A content request module of the system is configured to receive a request for the digital content item. A content serving module of the system is configured to identify at least one secondary source other than the remote computing device and the base station that stores a secondary copy of the digital content item, determine which of the local, remote and secondary copies of the digital content item may be delivered in a least amount of time, and deliver that copy.
PROCESSING MESSAGES WITH A DEVICE SERVER OPERATING IN A TELEPHONE
A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a computer-readable storage medium in a telephone having computer instructions to execute a web server application in the telephone. The web server application can be operable to detect an incoming plain old telephone service call, identify a calling party identifier from the incoming plain old telephone service call, and direct one of a plurality of devices detected by web server application to present the calling party identifier. Other embodiments are disclosed.

The web server application can be operable to detect an incoming plain old telephone service call, identify a calling party identifier from the incoming plain old telephone service call, and direct one of a plurality of devices detected by web server application to present the calling party identifier. Other embodiments are disclosed.
System and method for set-top box base station integration
A system for conducting a voice call includes a set-top box operable to control the selection of a television channel for display on a television. The set-top box is also operable to initiate a voice call in response to a selection of a user-interface displayed on the television. The system also includes a wireless set in communication with the set-top box, the wireless set operable to establish a portion of the voice path for the voice call. Signaling for the voice call is initiated by the set-top box.
Method and System for Delivery of Content Over Communication Networks
Systems and methods are provided for providing content to a user via communications between a content provider and a user Systems and methods include providing a plurality of pre-existing content items to a system; and using the system, controlling transmission of sub-portions of content to a user presentation device based on received control signals, said controlling including generating dynamic content as a result of received control signals and user created content received from the user, where said controlling further includes detecting that particular user created content is irrelevant, generating the dynamic content based on a determination that the particular user created content is irrelevant, and editing the dynamic content to incorporate the particular user created content despite the particular user created content being deemed irrelevant.
Methods and apparatus to provide messages to television users
Methods and apparatus to provide messages to consumer electronics devices are disclosed. An example method includes determining an identifier associated with a consumer electronics device from which a request has been received. The method also includes querying a database to determine first and second account identifiers associated with the identifier of the consumer electronics device. When the request is for messaging information stored with a first message provider, a first command is sent to cause the first message provider to forward the messaging information. When the request is for messaging information stored with a second message provider, a second command is sent to cause the second message provider to forward the messaging information. The messaging information received from at least one of the first message provider and the second message provider is sent to the consumer electronics device.
Dynamic predictive buffering
Buffering streaming content includes accessing prior device location data of a device and predicting a future sector that the device will travel through based at least in part on the prior device location data. A predicted quality of service of wireless communications is determined and a streaming buffer is adjusted based at least in part on the predicted quality of service.
