Apparatus and methods for providing an enriched content services over a network. In one embodiment, the exemplary apparatus and methods leverage extant high-bandwidth capabilities of a managed network for delivering content downstream, as well as standards-compliant ultra-low latency and high data rate services (e.g., 5G NR services) for uploading content. In one embodiment, the exemplary apparatus and methods are implemented to synchronize content delivered of extant HFC architectures and DOCSIS protocols with user-generated or other content uploaded to a network entity (e.g., server apparatus) via an IP connection established utilized 5G NR services. Additional features include, among other, enhancements which enable user participation individually, or with other subscribers, in live or recorded content-based activities (such as e.g., auctioning, broadcasting, interactive commentary/gaming, exercising, etc.).

An method of operating a video production device receives a plurality of video input streams from a plurality of different video capture devices, and selects one of the video input streams as a current video output stream. In response to the selection, the method determines a prioritization scheme for the plurality of video input streams, generates video format instructions for each of the plurality of different video capture devices, in accordance with the determined prioritization scheme; and sends the video format instructions from the video production device to the plurality of different video capture devices. The video format instructions are configurable to be executed by the video capture devices to confirm or adjust at least one video quality setting of the video input streams, such that the current video output stream is of higher quality relative to unselected video input streams of the plurality of video input streams.

Controlling content distribution

A computer-implemented method for controlling content distribution includes forwarding information associated with a user to a device operated by the user, the information being configured for use in selecting content from any of multiple content providers for a content distribution to the user. The method includes receiving, in response to the information, an edit of the information forwarded from the device. The edit identifies a first content provider and including a first modification of the content distribution regarding the first content provider. The method includes storing the edit in association with the information such that the first modification is taken into account in the content distribution. The method can be implemented using a computer program product tangibly embodied in a computer-readable storage medium.

The network device may determine whether the request complies with the time window, the data size, and the network identifier, and may determine whether a quantity of tokens associated with the network identifier is zero. The network device may provide, to the user device, a response indicating approval of the data to be uploaded, and may receive an indication that uploading the data is complete.

A method, system, and computer program product for monitoring a telecom network is provided. The method includes retrieving images associated with a transmission location of a telecom network. A communication channel is initialized for enabling transmission of a real time video stream comprising the images with respect to virtual network functions. The virtual network functions are enabled and a triggering signal of the virtual network functions is located. Image collector software and hardware components are activated for collecting the images for local cache storage and location and activation information is collected. Attributes of objects within the images are collected and detecting resulting obstruction characteristics associated with obstruction objects located within a coverage area of the telecom network are detected. The obstruction characteristics are mapped with login and disturbance patterns of the telecom network and an alternative transmission location within the telecom network is determined for providing improved transmission characteristics.
