A multimedia content provisioning device, system and method. The device includes a network interface to communicatively couple to a communications network, to connect to one or more multimedia devices coupled to the communications network, to exchange media processing capabilities between the one or more multimedia devices after establishing a connection therebetween, to generate a list of broadcast media sources and provide the list to each of the one or more multimedia devices in which media processing capabilities are exchanged, to provide a list of broadcast media content receivable from a broadcast media source selected from the generated list at the one or more media devices, and to stream a broadcast media content to the one or more media devices at which a selection from the list of broadcast media content is made, the content being streamed according to the media processing capabilities received therefrom, and to display a multimedia content control user interface at the one or more media devices in which broadcast media content is being streamed.

A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a computer-readable storage medium in a telephone having computer instructions to execute a web server application in the telephone. The web server application can be operable to detect an incoming plain old telephone service call, identify a calling party identifier from the incoming plain old telephone service call, and direct one of a plurality of devices detected by web server application to present the calling party identifier. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Input/output (I/O) operation requests from pageable storage mode guests are interpreted without host intervention. In a pageable mode virtual environment, requests issued by pageable storage mode guests are processed by one or more processors of the environment absent intervention from one or more hosts of the environment. Processing of the requests includes manipulating, by at least one processor on behalf of the guests, buffer state information stored in host storage. The manipulating is performed via instructions initiated by the guests and processed by one or more of the processors.

A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a computer-readable storage medium in a telephone having computer instructions to execute a web server application in the telephone. The web server application can be operable to detect an incoming plain old telephone service call, identify a calling party identifier from the incoming plain old telephone service call, and direct one of a plurality of devices detected by web server application to present the calling party identifier. An electronic device including: one or more processors to control operations thereof, to simultaneously process multiple wireless signals received from a plurality of multimedia devices transmitting streaming media content and to transmit the processed wireless signals to another one of the plurality of multimedia devices; a storage device to store received broadcast media content; and a network controller to wirelessly receive streaming broadcast media content from a plurality of broadcast media sources, to provide a wired and a wireless connectivity to the plurality of multimedia devices, to exchange media processing capabilities between the electronic device and the plurality of multimedia devices after establishing network connections therebetween, to receive a wireless signal including streaming media content from at least one of the plurality of multimedia devices, and to stream a processed version of the received wireless signal including streaming media content to another one of the plurality of multimedia devices, the processed version of the received wireless signal including streaming media content being processed based on the received media processing capabilities of the multimedia device receiving the transmitted wireless signal including streaming media content.

A multimedia content provisioning device, system and method. Methods and apparatus to provide messages to consumer electronics devices are disclosed. An example method includes determining an identifier associated with a consumer electronics device from which a request has been received. The method also includes querying a database to determine first and second account identifiers associated with the identifier of the consumer electronics device. When the request is for messaging information stored with a first message provider, a first command is sent to cause the first message provider to forward the messaging information. When the request is for messaging information stored with a second message provider, a second command is sent to cause the second message provider to forward the messaging information. The messaging information received from at least one of the first message provider and the second message provider is sent to the consumer electronics device.

Provided is a telephone apparatus including a wireless communicator that performs wireless communication of data with a music reproducing device, a controller that remotely controls the music reproducing device through the wireless communicator, a speaker, a sound processor that reproduces sound data from the music reproducing device and outputs the sound data to the speaker, and a call controller that detects outgoing or incoming of a call through a telephone line and restricts output of sound data from the music reproducing device in a case where the incoming or outgoing of a call is detected while the sound data is output as a sound.
