Narrowcasting to one-way set top boxes
Methods and systems of narrowcasting to a service group having one or more one-way set top boxes are shown and disclosed. The method may include receiving encrypted single program transport streams (SPTSs) from an encryptor, and receiving one or more session control signals for the SPTSs from a switched digital video (SDV) control system. The method may additionally include receiving service information (SI) packet identifiers (PIDs) for the SPTSs from a conditional access (CA) system, and updating the SI PIDs based on the one or more session control signals. The method may further include converting the SPTSs to narrowcast multiprogram transport streams (MPTSs) based on the one or more session control signals, and transmitting the narrowcast MPTSs and the updated SI PIDs to a plurality of edge quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) devices.

Multi-event media feed integration for unified video streaming for sportsbook application
Apparatuses, computer-readable media, and methods for obtaining and presenting a user wager in addition to an integrated media stream comprising media feeds of a selection of sporting events that are available for wagering via a sportsbook application are described. For instance, a processing system including at least one processor may obtain a first user wager associated with a first sporting event via at least one interface screen of the sportsbook wagering application, present, via the at least one interface screen, an integrated media stream comprising media feeds of a selection of sporting events from among a plurality of sporting events, where each of the selection of sporting events is associated with a respective media feed and is also available for at least one type of wagering via the sportsbook wagering application, where the selection of sporting events includes the first sporting event, and present, via the at least one interface screen, the first user wager in addition to the integrated media stream.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR SEPARATE DELIVERY OF SEGMENTS OF CONTENT ITEMS
Systems and methods are described herein for transmitting a content item to a user device using multiple delivery protocols. The system receives, at a content source, a request for the content item from the user device. The system splits a digital stream of the content item into a first video signal and a second video signal. The system then transmits, via a unicast server, the first video signal for the content item to the user device, and transmits, via a multicast server, the second video signal for the content item to the user device. The system then causes for presentation on the user device the first video signal followed by the second video signal. In other embodiments, the system is optimized between the unicast delivery of a content item and a peer-to-peer delivery.

CONTENT DELIVERY - SETTING THE UNICAST RATE
Described is a method of managing a network for delivering content in a hybrid unicast/multicast network, where content is requested by clients over unicast, but all or some of the content is delivered in part over multicast. Typically, a client requests content (in the form of segments) via a first proxy. The segments are delivered to the first proxy over multicast from a second proxy, before onward transmission to the requesting client over unicast. The segments are also cached at the first proxy, and can be transmitted over unicast to other clients requesting those segments. However, problems can arise if cached segments are transmitted to clients too quickly. In one solution, the first proxy measures the multicast rate of delivery of segments from the second proxy over multicast, and limits the transmission rate of those segments over unicast to requesting clients to no greater than the measured multicast delivery rate.
UNICASTING AND MULTICASTING MULTIMEDIA SERVICES
A network entity controls delivery of information to user devices over bearer paths including unicast channels and multicast channels. The network entity may interoperate in any of a number of network architectures, including 3GPP Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) and 3GPP2 Multimedia Domain (MMD). The network entity may provide functionality of a modified 3GPP2 Broadcast and Multicast Service (BCMCS) controller component configured to enable BCMCS signaling protocol transactions to occur over 3GPP IMS interfaces and/or 3GPP2 MMD interfaces. A network entity configured to interoperate in a 3GPP IMS and/or 3GPP2 MMD network architecture may provide network-mobile multimedia services to user devices. Content associated with the multimedia services may be stored in storage devices in the network. A common interface through which a network operator defines service-specific parameters of a number of unicast and multicast multimedia services deployed in a distribution network may be provided.

Apparatus for receiving broadcast signal and method for receiving broadcast signal
A digital receiver for processing a broadcast signal includes a receiving module configured to receive the broadcast signal. Further, the broadcast signal includes service components of a broadcast service, service layer signaling (SLS) information for the broadcast service and a service list table for providing bootstrap information, and the service components include at least one of audio or video data. Further, the bootstrap information is different based on a type of delivery protocol of the SLS information, and the type of delivery protocol corresponds to either a Real-time Object delivery over Unidirectional Transport (ROUTE) protocol or a Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG) Media Transport Protocol (MMTP). The digital receiver also includes a processor configured to process the service list table, the SLS information and the service components of the broadcast service.
