A system for integrating video content and data provision includes an upstream signal path to process upstream data traffic received from a first transmission network for transmission to a second transmission network, and a downstream signal path to process downstream data traffic and downstream video traffic for transmission from the second transmission network to the first transmission network. The upstream signal path includes an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and an upstream demodulator, and the downstream signal path includes an Ethernet processor, a digital-signal-processor (DSP) and a digital-to-analog converter (DAC).

The content may be copied. The number of copies of content may correspond to a number of the destination receivers. A respective copy of the content may be sent to the destination receivers.

A method, an apparatus and a system for the reproduction of a specific multimedia content are provided. The method includes the step of acquiring one or more samples of a specific multimedia content reproduced by a mobile multimedia radio/television apparatus, where the specific multimedia content is included in a first signal emitted by a broadcast-type radio/television network, including the further step of determining an identifier of the specific multimedia content and the value of a quality parameter of the first signal. According to the value of the quality parameter of the first signal, further steps include receiving on a multimedia telephone apparatus the specific multimedia content through a second signal emitted by a cellular telephone network, sending the specific multimedia content to one or more multimedia reproduction units included in the mobile multimedia radio/television apparatus.

Performant ad hoc data ingestion

A video processing engine may receive a request for a video communication session, via a network to produce a video file key that is routed to the video camera. If the video camera is communicatively connected to a Wi-Fi 6 compatible wireless access point, it routes a high-quality video file to the Network Operation Center (NOC). Alternatively, using the video key file, the video camera generates message digests and watermarks that are embedded in a video camera generated high-quality video file and a degraded quality video file. The video camera routes, via the network, the degraded quality video file to the NOC, while the high-quality video file is uploaded to the NOC later. Subsequently, a video processing engine extracts the watermarks from the message digests of the video files and compares them to ensure that the high-quality video file correlates to the degraded quality video file.

Delivering content

Methods and systems are disclosed for delivery of one or more channels of programming in an IP network. An edge gateway device may retrieve segments of programming, based on information in a manifest file, and output the segments via multicast to one or more edge devices. Advertising content may be inserted, or replaced if already present, before the segments are multicast. Segments encoded at various bit rates may be available for retrieval. Segments may be selected for retrieval based in part on a quality indicator associated with each segment.
