Wireless speaker connection management
A connection management system comprises a wireless speaker including first and second connectors for communicating with two selected audio content source devices, respectively, of at least three audio content source devices; a rules engine that establishes a set of conditions under which the at least three audio content source devices share the first and second connectors of the wireless speaker; and a device allocation system that forms a first communication path between one of the two selected audio content source devices and the first connector of the wireless speaker and forms a second communication path between another of the two selected audio content source devices and the second connector of the wireless speaker at a time in accordance with the set of conditions established by the rules engine.
Systems and methods for integrating a set-top box with internet content
Methods, systems and computer readable media for controlling a set-top box includes receiving at processor a request from a user to access a web page. The content of the web page is scanned at the processor for items relating to content that may be available through the set-top box. The processor then provides a web page to the user with an embedded widget which the user can use to select commands to be executed by the set-top box. The processor receives the widget command and sends the widget command to the set-top box for implementation.

REMOTE ENGAGEMENT SYSTEM
A remote engagement system for a live event includes at least one output device located at the live event for providing an audio and/or visual output to people at the live event. A controller receives signals transmitted from a plurality of user input devices and in response thereto and in real time or near real time, controls the at least one output device located at the live event to provide an audio and/or visual output to people at the live event.
Methods and apparatus for supporting sharing of content between mobile communications devices and home based devices
Methods and apparatus for allowing a telephone user to share captured audio and/or video with a set top box user are described. The methods and apparatus of the present invention can be implemented without the need for a called party to support video conferencing and/or have a computer system. In various embodiments a telephone call is used to first contact a party to who content from a telephone may be streamed, e.g., in real time. Assuming the contacted party is interested a video session is established with a STB or other device corresponding to the called party and video content delivered from the cell phone. Audio may also be streamed with the video and/or the initial telephone call is maintained while video content is delivered allowing for bi-direction communication via the calling party and called party's telephones.
Methods for uploading video data
Methods are provided for uploading of video data to one or more media servers. The video data can be divided into data blocks and transmitted over a plurality of threads. Validation of the transmitted data is performed and transmission repeated if validation fails, ensuring that the video data has been successfully uploaded to the one or more media servers.
Networking method and networking device
Provided are a networking method and a networking device. The method is applied to the networking device, and the networking device is connected with at least one service switch and at least one streaming media server respectively. The method includes that a configuration module in the networking device configures networking configuration information of the at least one streaming media server, a control module in the networking device acquires the networking configuration information, and the control module sets a switching module through a setting interface of the switching module on the basis of the networking configuration information. According to the disclosure, the technical problem of complexity in a networking mode in the existing technology can be solved, and unified network management and configuration can be realized.
MEDIA-AWARE RADIO ACCESS NETWORK PACKET SCHEDULING
A processor of a base station of a radio access network may receive a plurality of parameters for a media streaming session for a transmission of a media to an endpoint device, select at least one radio access network resource for the media streaming session based upon the plurality of parameters for the media streaming session, and establish the media streaming session in accordance with the at least one radio access network resource. The plurality of parameters may comprise a type of media parameter, a packet size parameter, and a mobility parameter. The at least one radio access network resource may comprise a number of carriers, a transmission time interval, a number of sub-carriers, a modulation coding scheme, a carrier frequency, or a duration of a reservation.
Network controlled client caching system and method
A communication system, cache, computer readable medium and method for exchanging delay-tolerant data content or in-advance data content between a user terminal and a communication network with which the user terminal communicates. The method includes storing the delay-tolerant data content or in-advance data content into a network cache of the communication network; gathering at the network cache network information related to a status of the communication network; receiving user terminal information at the network cache from a user cache located at the user terminal; and transferring the delay-tolerant data content or in-advance data content from the network cache to the user cache based on the network information and the user terminal information.
